If woman want to whip 'em out at a store to feed their kids (when I know they make breast pumps for the times when whipping them out is inappropriate), then don't be offended when woman choose to wear pasties and skimpy bikinis at coffee stands.     actually breasts are for breast feeding...the only reason this issue is even debated is because breasts have become sexualized. Shocking...but the reason we have them is to feed babies...not for you to ogle and play with them (although there's a time and place for that too) :)

    Sorry - but you are wrong. Sure, practical purposes that's their only "function." But you know as well as I do that that is a load of shit. Tits, nipples especially have loads of nerves that work well with SEX. And you have to have SEX before you can breast feed, right? So, they do start as sex boobs before they turn into baby feeding boobs.

    inappropriate? when is it ever inappropriate to feed your child?

    Well you have loads of nerve endings in yours as well. Why don't people get up in arms if a man shows his nips? Cause they're not as sexualized. It's the meaning that you apply to these things. And yeah - if I saw a guy fondling a girls' tits at H&M I would be shocked (and might stop and stare) :D but a mom breastfeeding? yeah...not so much :)

    As far as having a backup supply...you do what you can, but you can only make so much milk. It's not always possible to have "extra" milk to take with you. And some breastfed babies reject the bottle anyway. That is why mothers do have a *legal* right to breastfeed whenever and wherever necessary.

    You can make all the plans you want about caring for an infant, but they are really the ones in charge.

    I am not talking about feeding your child. Don't confuse the issue. I am talking about you whipping your tits out in public. Feed your child in public all you want. Use one of these ahead of time. Planning is everything.

    What does it matter why the woman wear the bikinis and pasties, it is their personal choice, is it not?

    Again, my only point (and it is a very local and current issue where I live) is that if you want to breastfeed in public, that's fine. Just stop bitching (again, not you personally) about the young hot woman scantily-clad selling coffee.

    Breast pumps are not "for the times when whipping them out is inappropriate". They are mostly used by women who work outside the home and have to pump the milk that builds up during the day. Also, they are used to feed babies who are unable to suck. It has nothing to do with what you believe is inappropriate, lol.

    How can you equate a woman wearing pasties or bikinis at coffee stands? Breastfeeding is how mammals feed their infants. Pasties are for sexual purposes.

    my BREASTFED child requires only my BREAST. thats the planning i chose. to have it at the ready when required.

    now personally, i dont complain about scantily clad girls selling coffee. i only wonder what their thinking is in making themselves such an object of titillation to the simple male who gets off on such things. what exactly is the point of putting yourself on display in this manner at this particular venue? to me that is inappropriate. but then again i dont drink coffee. :D
