seems spot in in it's analysis.

question tho: it says to wrap your fingers/thumb around the smallest part of your wrist and if your fingerS overlap your thumb you're small framed, if they barely touch medium framed, and no where near touching, big framed. so then, my middle finger and thumb overlap easily, but no onther fingers.....so does that make me small framed? :o it seems a much easier measurement than the elbow thingie, which i was never sure about. most of my life i've been 'considered' small-framed, whether it's *actual* or not...dunno. so i AM curious...

too bad tho that the small frame doesn't automatically mean 'small' period. :p eh. used to be.....and working on being 'my small self' again. i wanted to be there NOW...and really, haven't made a dent. *sighs*....it absoultey IS will-power, sticking with it.

so jose, we'll see how we both do before the shows. ;) haha.

however, LAO or anyone else who may know, as per the link above.....how would you go about determining that measurement based on the info i provided? grazie. :)
Not sure. My fingers overlap, but I know I'm small framed anyways. You can kind of tell no matter how over/under weight somebody might be. Small framed people tend to look taller than they really are. People like Brad Pitt, definitely Eddie Vedder, have small frames.. Jeff Ament and although skinny, Stone seem to be middle framed.. Boom Gasper on the other hand looks large framed.

I could stand to lose some weight. Not that I'm overly worried about it though. As long as I'm happy with myself that's all that matters to me.

ALL your fingers? even your index and pinky overlap your thumb when you wrap around your wrist? wow.

and yes, overall, if one observes well, i agree. you can pretty much tell someone's frame-size. of course, it's not always that easy. for example, i completely disagree with ed being small-framed, i think he's a medium. the guy is short and he looks short....but his actually body/frame looks like he should be 5 inches taller.....b/c he looks medium-framed. just looking at his forearms and hands alone. i would definitely say mike mccready is small-framed, no doubt. the guy is slight! he's also probably shorter than ed, yet he does appear taller.....thus why i totally agree with the small-frame/look taller bit. jeff i think borderlines between medium and large....more difficult to guesstimate. either way it is interesting to assess like that. i never read/heard of the wrist measurement as a determinant for that, only the elbow measurement which to me is difficult to do. so thanks. :)

and jose....well done you! :) already on the right path! impressive! perhaps you will be inspirational, wouldn't want ya to make me look bad. ;) haha. it is EXACTLY 6 weeks from today until the first MSg show.....so we shall see! :D

and you have REALLY Long fingers!!! ;)

I still think the fit of your clothes is the best determination since you can be the same weight as someone else, with the same height, and still look different depending on how it is distributed and your fat to muscle ratio!
So I'll just lie down and wait for the dream

    WOW!
well then, everyone was wrong about me saying i was so tiny/small-framed. guess that would mean i am medium framed eh? well that means 5 less pounds that *need* to be lost, but yea...i prefer the weights for my size that correspond with small-framed in any case. i was there most of my life, i know it suits me better...whether small or medium-framed. :p

btw - you're mom said you're not THAt fat? :( yikes........

and hey grey....i've only seen a couple pics of you and its been awhile, but from what i saw, you look fabulous! i'd npot have guessed you small-framed either, probably medium, but then again....very difficult to guage from a picture. either way, you look great!

i can only get 2 fingers, middle and ring, to overlap....on either hand/wrist.

thanks love! My mom said crazy things when I was a teenager. Not the greatest time in a girls life to make weight comments. We'd all be out eating and everyone would order dessert and she'd cut me off, and say to the server, "she doesn't really need any of that" (!!!!!!!!!!!!) My mom always tried to make me diet and lose weight (I was pretty heavy for a teenager, like around 200lbs) but the pressure she put on me was too much, and I couldn't get a handle on it. I finally lost all the weight when I moved away from my family and could do it on my own, for me! It never helps to tell someone they are fat. People claim they are motivating people, but actually it was more like torture.

I would NEVER classify myself as small framed. I think I just have a small wrist, or a really long pinky finger (??)

It is so weird though how someone can be a totally different size, but be the same weight and height as someone else. It's all about where the weight is situated.
