  • i know! she doesn't like the clinch and dirty boxing style. :p

so, brock is the favourite on the betting odds! wow! no doubt there's been a lot of activity on this fight this week.

5dimes had brock at -150 and randy at -115 i believe, the last time i checked.
the best odds i've found are on bodog and that's where they have randy at +155

  • I think Lesnar is going to win, probably by stoppage, I just can't see Randy winning, but it only takes one shot, it will be entertaining anyway.

Also Joe Stevenson to win, I think it's going to the ground but it could go either way there, Kenny might use the jab and keep it standing, looking forward to this one, enjoy the fights.

same to you, followmyway. :) i went back and forth, but finally went with randy and florian. the stevenson / florian match was especially tough. those two, along with a few others on the card could go either way.

should make for a good night, i hope!

    that's pretty close overall, eh?

ya, really close... they've been changing up alot. The only really good bet is on the fight to go to a 5 round decision. That's paying +700 which is huge

even though i went with florian i agree with the stevenson pick if it goes to the ground... i think the more it stays on the feet the more kenny is going to land some good kicks and take the decision that way. If it goes to the ground i'll be worried.
From what i've seen from lesnar (in mma) i don't think he's the type of fighter that goes in looking for stoppages. It seems that he would rather get the fight to the ground where he can put his full 285lbs on his oppenent and control the fight from there and wear out his oppenent.

I know Lesnar doesn't look like finishing, he loves to go for the hammer fist, it annoys me, it doesn't do much damage and he never attempts submissions, just holds them and looks the wear them down, like you said and like the Herring fight, but I just have a feeling that tonight he's going to stop Randy, got to go with the gut feeling.

really i hope you're right about the stoppage. But i have to disagree that his hammer fists don't do much damage... when you have sledge hammers for fists, anything is going to cause damage. I know it was rogan who said this but there are other fighters that use the same style. Look at a guy like Ortiz, he doesn't go out looking for subs, when he wins it is usually done on the ground with him punishing his oppenent.

  • as usual, couldn't resist looking at the pre-lim results. sounds like thomas vs. brown was a good one.

ya it really did, the robinson/bocek match sounds pretty good aswell so far, looks like you were right about bocek wrestling being a big advantage for him in the fight

True, he does have sledge hammer fist, and they will to damage, I didn't mean to imply they don't, but is it enough to stop the fight, but I guess thats what he wants to do, just use his weight and wear them down, I just like to see fighters go for the finish but its all part of the fight, I do love submissions though, maybe he should join team punishment, :D

robinson didn't make the early mistake, otherwise my prediction would have been prophetic! haha

it does sound like a good ground battle going on...

yup great prediction mookie, sounded like a great fight. I'm very happy with the outcome even though it doesn't help my point score at all lol

ya, it's always better when a fighter goes out looking to finish the fight.
Don't think brock could join team punishment, way too big of an ego to train with another huge ego in tito. Don't think that would work out at all lol...
