    Happy UFC night everyone! :D

I had trouble picking Florian v Stevenson and Robinson v Bocek too! Both fights could easily go either way. I ended up going with my gut on both ... we'll see how it turns out for me.

I'll be around tonight for the event. :)

  • umm when did ppv's get so expensive? I just looked and for the hd ppv its 55bux... that's crazy...
Trying to convince myself that it's worth it since it seems thats the only way i'm going to get to see the ppv tonight :(

  • yeah, they went up 5 bones a while back, leafs. i suppose yours is more because it's HD? used to be 39.99 here for standard, then it went up to 44.99.

it may be streamed online somewhere. some of the shows from korea and japan i've watched that way, but never found a ufc that worked. sorry i'm not much help.

we should have all just gone to vegas!
  • i agree mookie, we could be getting free drinks while sitting in leather couches watching the ppv.. i much prefer it that way.

o well guess i'm going to dish out the cash since the sat is down. probably be back up tomorrow but i prefer to watch the ppv live

...and damn, that would be a good time tonight. all of us watching the ppv together and having a few pops. :)
  • just read some pro picks... some are pretty funny, check out mac danzig's lol

thanks leafs. :D i'd heard something about that quote from mac earlier, i think. "that can't be good." :D

i also liked chris lytle's opinion...giving all the reasons why randy will definitely lose...then, having said all that, he picks randy. haha :D

yeah, i think there are quite a few people interested in only the main event. seems, with the exception of stevenson vs. florian, most people are disinterested in the rest of the main card.

for me, four out of the five matches on the main card are of interest to me. i guess it's all a matter of who you enjoy watching and what kind of matches you like.

looks like the majority are picking randy.

ya 4/5 fights look good with the 5th being pretty much a given... wish it wasn't 55bux though lol (i'm so cheap lol)

ya majority are going with randy, guess a lot of ppl are going to be wrong tonight :)

it kind of sounds like each randy fight, eh? they all want to pick the other guy because he should win, but they've learned not to bet against randy. we'll see who's right! ;):D

ceg is mia once again! i was just checking to see is she got her picks in and she missed it again. :( i was pretty sure she'd probably skip this show, as she's not the biggest randy fan.

lol ya, it's hard to bet against randy... actually he's a +155 right now so my money would be on him even though i think brock is going to win

that sucks about ceg... how can anybody not be a fan of randy

edit: this night is not starting off too good... 2-0 vancouver

i know! she doesn't like the clinch and dirty boxing style. :p

so, brock is the favourite on the betting odds! wow! no doubt there's been a lot of activity on this fight this week.
  • I think Lesnar is going to win, probably by stoppage, I just can't see Randy winning, but it only takes one shot, it will be entertaining anyway.

Also Joe Stevenson to win, I think it's going to the ground but it could go either way there, Kenny might use the jab and keep it standing, looking forward to this one, enjoy the fights.

even though i went with florian i agree with the stevenson pick if it goes to the ground... i think the more it stays on the feet the more kenny is going to land some good kicks and take the decision that way. If it goes to the ground i'll be worried.
From what i've seen from lesnar (in mma) i don't think he's the type of fighter that goes in looking for stoppages. It seems that he would rather get the fight to the ground where he can put his full 285lbs on his oppenent and control the fight from there and wear out his oppenent.
