i guess i should read through the posts before getting hasty with mine, eh? haha
sorry for the double post and the absence. i kept wanting to come out and post, but i didn't want to miss anything...must move computer to same place as tv!
nice work on the 2nd place finish, ceg. you almost called the main event! i was soiling myself here thinking it would be a split for sure, and in favour of forrest. what a great fight. i really thought rampage was done at the break for the third, but forrest couldn't get back to hitting those again and rampage fought through it.
i had high expectations for the other matches, so i was a little disappointed. thought marcus aurelio would have a better performance and that woudl be a great fight. turned out to be a very good performance from tyson and nice as high paced as i thought it would be. i really wanted chris lytle to get the ko at the end of his fight! i never like seeing koscheck win!i was somewhat shocked that joe was able to tap tibau, but he caught the arm in guillotine again!!!
it's good to see patrick get the win as well, but it wasn't his best performance. he may have to win another before a title shot. he showed great takedown defense, especially after ricardo started to tire. he could have been more active once he knew he could keep the fight on the feet. i was hoping both guys would put on a good fight, but ricardo didn't look at his best either. big win for patrick in any case.0 -

yeah, they showed the ad for the "free fights" on ufc.com for tonight and the pre-lim for miller vs. gurgel was one of them, then they showed the submission of the night directly afterward.
what a win by forrest too! i had to rub my eyes a few times when he was wearing the belt during the post fight interview! craziness.0 -

+1 on all counts...
you always write the best re-caps... you should be a reporter for the newspaper, or something...~~*~~ ...i surfaced and all of my being was enlightend... ~~*~~0 -
hey guys, just got in from a ufc party a buddy was throwing and what a great night it was
1st congrats to LBC on defending the championship... rampage could take a couple lessons from you lol
thought it was a great night of fights... the kos/lytle fight was insane, that blood was almost too much, but a really good win for kos (why was he getting boo'd, that was a good fight).
All i really remember of the griffen/aureilo fight is tyson being able to get out of tons of triangle attempts and deserving the win he got.
Joe Daddy got lucky that he caught that choke cause he was on his way to a loss. I forgot how big Tibau was for 155.
The cote/almeida fight i was expecting alot more from. It was not even close to the worse fight i've seen but i don't know it just seemed to be lacking something. Maybe that will change when i rewatch the fight. Cote owes alot to Team Canada, that wrestling and takedown defence training won him this fight.
Now for the main event... OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!! I told everyone that i was calling for 3rd round tko but if it went to a decision watch for forest to take it. I couldn't believe it and i was so happy when they gave the right decision. As soon as i saw forest throw a leg kick i said that if he kept throwing them it would be the difference in the fight, along with forest's never say die, chin of stone self, i think i was right. Not only did that kick in the 2nd get him a 10-8 round, it got into rampage's head. I just have to give tons of props to forest, dude took shots that have KO'd the toughest man in the sport and came back and beat the champ. I am so happy for this guy right now, he truly deserves this!
ok i'm gunna go and read all your posts while re-watch the fights
edit: o ya i almost forgot, it was awsome that forest came out to some dropkick murphy's, i was wearing my dropkick t-shirt and cheered when i heard it."I'll ride the wave where it takes me"
