Excellent, we shall. It is looking like Tempe will be the place where we all get together for happy hour or something.

Anytime is fine with me, as long as it's not during the Vegas, SD, LA or Gorge show dates. And I do think it would be cool if we could try to meet up in Vegas or SD for a little pre-show tailgate or something like that.

I'm going to the Tuesday game. I hope the D-Backs will start playing like they are capable of. I am sick of watching them lose to teams they should be kicking ass on.

August it is. Now we just need to nail down a date. What dates do not work for people. We can start there.

I know I may have asked about this before, but if anyone can help me....

I have an uncle, missing now for 33 years, who was arrested in Phoenix in 1996 on criminal trespass at a car wash on North Cave Creek Road, near the intersection of east thunderbird road, and who listed his workplace as Classic Stellar Homes. Does anyone know anything about that area or about Classic Stellar Homes, or know anyone who works there? This is the first and only lead we have had since he disappeared. He was camping in the wildlife preserve behind the car wash, so he had no address. There has been no criminal history since then. Any ideas? We may hire a private eye...not sure.

I know this is not PJ related, but I am a huge fan, ten club #189***, and I really want to find my uncle for my mom.

I really hope that someone might be able to help me with this. In know that if someone needed help in my neck of the woods, I would be all over it.

I'm in the southeast valley and that is north central...

Did a quick search and found:
Classic Stellar Homes, Inc. Corporate Office:
1940 East Thunderbird Road, Suite 105
    Phoenix, Arizona 85022

    Sales Phone: 480-218-7910

Have you contacted them? 33 years is a long time... If he's homeless or a transient, I image that he would be very difficult to track down.
I'm too young to be old and too old to be young; I just don't fit anywhere.

I'm here in North Phoenix. Up by what was just about the northern border 17 years ago when I got here. Now there's more and more houses.
Just got back from the two LA shows and SoCal (where I came from) can keep their traffic.
I'm up for some kind of gettogether.
BTW, anyone play a musical instrument? I'm still trying to find a band.

Frank in PHX (though the sig seems a bit redundant here)

I know! I can't believe it after that long. I don't have it back yet (I have to make arrangments with the towing company), but the cop I talked to said there was no apparent damage. I'm totally shocked! (but in a good way :) )

Awesome, but did you already buy a new car?

uh, thankfully i live in flagstaff.

i don't see how people can live in the valley of the brown cloud. actually, i do. it's called "denial". as in, let's water the fuck out of our lawn, have a swimming pool in the backyard, stay immersed in air conditioning, and do everything in our power to pretend we don't live in a desert. yeah, that and rape the colorado river (fuck the CAP) to get most of our water.

sorry to vent, we have water restrictions up here in flag. it boggles my mind that the valley gets to waste so much water on their lawns and pools, with absolutely NO restrictions on useage.

You know, not everyone in Phoenix lives that way. I don't have a swimming pool or a lawn (just a few plants in pots) and I keep my air on 82-85 in the summer. People in Flagstaff have to use their heat in the winter too, yes?

But I agree that there should probably be more water restrictions.

No, I didn't. I was really just gonna have to be without one for awhile.

Yeah, I live in a apt. in Scottsdale, drive a car that gets 40mpg, use minimal water, keep my AC on 82.
Guess I don't fit the profile either. ;)

cool, i shouldn't stereotype the valley. you gotta admit, though, there are a LOT of people living down there who are in total denial that they live in the desert.

yeah, we have to use heat in the winter. i burn wood.

on a side note, i would encourage everyone to read "cadillac desert". a great history on how the west was watered.

I find it kind of funny with those that move here and complain about the heat, yet they are living in this state of denial (ac, pool). They're outside a total of what, 10 minutes a day? Hello, it's a desert, it's supposed to be hot in the summer. If it wasn't, the world would probably be coming to an end. The heat doesn't really bother me anyway. I'll still ride my bike at the high point of the day (yes, everyone thinks I'm crazy!)

I just moved here from the Chicago area about 2 months ago. I can honestly tell you that it's even worse there.
Sure, here you have 3 really "hot" months, other than that it's beautiful weather the other 9 months. In Chicago there are 5 months of cold and 5 months of hot/humid weather. The energy use yearly has to be much higher there (Chi.) then here (AZ). The 110 degree heat is nothing compared to the sticky disgusting 95 degree heat of the midwest. I'm pretty sure if you were to look at each person's energy consumption yearly in both areas, it would be much higher there than here.
