Who on this board lives in Phoenix? Has there ever been a get together of Pearl Jam fans that live in the valley? If not, maybe we should try to set up the first gathering of PJ fans. Of course, I am thinking of October or so. When it finally drops below 100 degrees.

I live in Phoenix. As far as I know, nobody has ever organized a get together, but that sounds fun.

October sounds about right. I may not go outside before then, lol.

But seriously, if you want to put something together, let me know and I'll try to help out. :)

Hello SharonC, how are you? Your right about not going outside until October. I have lived in the Valley since 1979 and I am still not used to the heat. Maybe we can get a list of names interested and then when the time is right something can be setup like a BBQ or something.

Hi Dan, that sounds great! I've lived here most of my life. I don't think you ever get used to it.

Is the 1984 in your name the year you graduated? I thought it might be because you posted somewhere that you were turning 40. I'm 43 and I graduated in '81.

So yeah, anyone who is interested post here and we'll put a list together. :)

I used to live in Pheonix (well up North in Anthem). I can't make it, but man I miss living there.

Cool! I live in North Phoenix, not too far from Anthem.

That's quite a temperature change going from here to Toronto!

I am moving to Arizona from Ohio! Will be there by July and am going to Vegas, LA, SD, and the SB shows with my brother. Can't wait to relocate to the valley and I am always looking to meet new people, especially PJ fans.

I really miss it. I love Pheonix and would move back in a heartbeat if I got transferred back there again.

We loved Anthem (or South Flagstaff as my colleagues used to say), but we would look at Cave Creek if we move back.

I think a BBQ at some central location when it cools down would be great. Hopefully by then the list will grow.

damn, I used to live in Chandler until 04. Now I'm in good ol' Albuquerque, New Mexico. While in Chandler I had a personalized license plate that was the same as my username. The good ol' folks at the car wash always asked me if I was a pilot. When I said it was for a Pearl Jam song, I received a "Who?" type of look.

I just moved to Scottsdale a few weeks ago.
I'm loving it so far. It sure is hot though.
But...I'd take 105 in AZ over 90 + the humidity of the midwest.

I'm definitely down for the get-to-gether/bbq/whatever.

I'm down here in Tucson - and its slightly cooler than PHX, which is good. The heat is nice though if you're used to -69 in Minneapolis. I'm hitting the LV and SD shows on the tour. I hope they decide to come back from .au and play PHX and other southern shows, as well as a final show in Seattle.

    Peace.

I grew up in Toledo, Ohio and have been in the Valley for the past 9 years... You'll certainly get broken in by coming in July. July & August are the worst, but the rest of the year really makes it worth it. What a change of scenery!

Going to SD show b/c PHX is not on the list... I'd still love for a Mesa Amp. show in October or November for fans and a select few :)

I moved to Phoenix from Chicago in July back in 1979 and wow what a change that was. The great thing about here is if you can survive the summer, the other 8 or 9 months kick ass here. Just remember, it doesn't take long to shovel sunshine.

I have to tell you that my favorite places to see a concert are the Mesa Amp. and Celebrity Theatre. I have seen a ton of concert over the years and those two venues are great.

I was born and raised in phx, but moved to LA 3 years ago for a job (even though I'm in LA, I'm a die-hard suns fan - just wait till next year!!!!)

Unfortunately I'll miss out next October - sounds like fun.

I am not a big basketball fan but the Suns are fun to watch. I am a die hard baseball fan. I love the D-Backs and White Sox (I'm from Chicago). Last summer my son and I took a two week stadium tour that just kicked ass! I hope to do that again soon.

Hi, I live in N. Scottsdale, transplant from NYC. Hate the heat, long for the beach.

A get together would be fun, hopefully it will be in a parking lot pre-concert if they swing back our way.

Otherwise, I'll be at the Vegas and SD shows. Hit Toronto on the first leg, both shows, excellent!

Glad to see a few of us here on the board representing AZ.
