Okay, sometimes I get really upset over this...

why is it always the "man" that is a pig that cheats on his wife/girlfriend when women cheat JUST AS MUCH AS GUYS DO??? In every single magazine I received this month, it has something about a man cheating, like "how to tell if your man cheats", or "why do men cheat"? Ummm, women cheat too and I think the percentage has gone up higher the last couple of years....it pisses me off that some of us women come off looking like angels when in reality we can be just as bad as men! (sometimes even worse)

    These are women's magazines right? If they start criticizing women for cheating, I doubt they'd sell as many subscriptions :)

    maybe b/c you are reading WOMEN's magazines, thus offering a skewed perspective? even within the genre of women's magazines..i think the objectivity varies GREATLY. say from cosmopolitan to oh i don't know....real simple.....might be very different. one sensationalized, the other more reality based...kinda like the difference between time and people magazines to give an extreme example.


    and women are no *worse* than men, and vice versa. it has NOTHING to do with GENDER...and EVERYthing to do with individual personality/morals/etc.

    actually even in men's mags they dont say "how to tell if your woman is cheating"

    it's more like "how do you get a ham sandwich while getting the sex of your life"

    exactly...double standards go both ways, and each gender, rightly or wrongly...has theirs. i see no need to be *upset* by this anymore than any of the negative biases against women. acknowledge BOTH exist, and both should not...and maybe we'd get somewhere in gender equality and it would be a non-issue, and people would be judged as individuals, by their thoughts/actions/deeds...rather than off the cuff by gender. novel concept eh? ;)

    well maybe the type of men who read men's magazines don't care if their woman is cheating? and maybe the type of women who read women's magazines do (to some bizarre extent)? Or maybe women who read women's magazines have a disproportionate amount of cheating husbands...or maybe men who read men's magazines don't have women :).

    these magazines just try to sell to their known demographic.
