If he's cleared to play then play him. Any day he comes back could be his last. Get busy living or get busy dying. There are different types of concussions and everyone reacts differently. How can you put a time table on that? Giroux has balls unlike Crosby so he should be ok. Just kidding about Sid. I'd rather see him playing.

love the shawshank reference. well played

If he only has so much living to do, maybe I'd rather him do it in the playoffs. But, I'm not a doctor, so if they say he can play who am I to dispute?

My last comment on this...my feelings exactly. from a flyer beat writers blog on philly.com...

DALLAS _ Nobody asked me, but...

If it's me, I err on the side of caution and do not play Claude Giroux until after Christmas.

But it appears the gifted Flyers center will play Wednesday night in Dallas. Nothing official, but there were lots of hints yesterday that Giroux will center Jaromir Jagr and Scott Hartnell on Wednesday night.

Giroux has missed the last four games since suffering a concussion of Dec. 10.

Why rush his return? Someone who has suffered a concussion is more susceptible to a second one. Returning 11 days after a concussion seems a bit premature, no?

I have to take back my comment from yesterday. Giroux looked great and i liked that i saw him hitting his own players in the pregame. very good game against a good team.

Still waiting for JVR to start playing, he looked abit lost last night and for a while too.

I was hoping the penalty shot goal the other night would wake him up.
    Alright, alright, alright!

be careful about that best record thing ;) you guys have had to play more games to get those points. just looking at stats, you guys remind me of the flyers. good offesne, leaky defense.

Boston has a good offense and a good defense. that's a scary combo. they are big, have good speed, and have excellent goaltending. of course, anything can happen in the playoffs, but they might have the best chance of going back to back in a long time

can't argue the hot goalie thing. you can ride those puppy's a mile

but, a stud goalie on a deep solid playoff tested team isn't a bad way to go either.

a healthy Claude/Jagr/Hartnell line makesa huge difference as well.

the only difference is that we didn't play a ohl team in the 1st game.

while i dislike this team, i think you might be right. they look good but i still have to see what happens to them if they get a injury bug like the flyers have had this year to main players.

    The blackhawks look good too.

See, you're not from here, so it would be hard to explain my perpetual pessimism regarding all things sports. Not saying it's the same thing as Crosby, but I don't think we should suck each others' popsicles just yet.

I think i might be confused. i was saying that unlike the pens who played the Islanders, philly played a good team and Claude got 4 points.
