put any pressure on this guy whatsoever and he stinks. he cannot even hold fg attemps in clutch situations.
bullshit... he's done it before. buffalo bills... detroit lions (actually it was a td pass to witten)... both games last season which cowboys shoulda lost but romo put them back in to win it.

sure he has screwed up before... but he's also proven to win big games. when they lost to the giants... i was truly pissed not because i didn't believe the cowboys couldn't do it. for one, because the giants were indeed the better team. and second, because the cowboys just "lost" it mentally. it wasn't just romo's fault. the defense couldn't even stop the giants in the last what was it? 30 seconds of the first half? and giants scored that td which then caused the cowboys to lose that playoff game.
This isn't the land of opportunity, it's the land of competition.

    good points

and that last part you talk about is what differentiates them for now. The clutch perfromance and Romo hasn't been able to do that. If he gets a playoff win under his belt this yr he might head into other playoff games with a diff. mentality and renewed confidence.
Aah, fuck it, I’m just gonna go home, turn on the fuckin’ TV...
Watch the nightly news and drink a beer...

Its a long season, but right now I'd say the best teams are:

    Dallas
    Philly
    Denver
    May be NYG

Then possilbly Baltimore/ San Diego/ Pittsburg

This is a big shit talking week for me; one of my employees is a big Redskins fan. Their last game in Texas Stadium should be Dallas detroying them.

yes, especially given that the redskins beat them last year in that last game.... a total disappointment it was. my score predictions are Dallas 31, Redskins 17

Romo discussed his mistakes and play so far this year. Romo said that he's realizes his performance wasn't great against GB and that he couldn't enjoy the win as much. He said he was learning from it and getting more confident and just seemed to have the exact right attitude that I've been wanting to see from him. He said the mistakes will fewer as the season continues. But great attitude overall and I feel a million times better after seeing the interview.

You guys know we are playing the hated Redskins this weekend right? I don't see any talk!

Cowboys are 11.5 point favorites at home.

And we should be up to full strength (minus Kyle Kosier). I think we put 40 on them.

Shawn Springs says he is ready for the T.O. track meet. hahaha

They do. I think the Cowboys blow them out. But weird shit happens when these two teams play. Could be a trap game.

Next real test? November 2 against the Giants.

OK, I have had enough of Brian Stewart now. He needs to go. This is the most uninspired, ineffective group of defensive players. No interceptions all season. Can't come up with the big stop when they have to. You can say they did against Philly, but really they stopped themselves with that fumble. Piss poor tackling all game.

Romo was off all day. He played like he was under pressure when he wasn't. Hurrying throws and forcing balls into coverage.

You are telling me that these receivers can't get separation when the Redskins were without Springs and Smoot at the same time in the 2nd half?! WTF?

The 12 men on the field call that extended the Redskins scoring drive was complete and total BS. There were no way 12 men were on the field. Go back and look at the tape.

Terrence Newman - that was the worst game I have ever seen him play. Burned by Santana Moss. Just torched. Falling down, busting coverage, etc. Wow he has terrible!!

Marion Barber - 142 yards rushing last week. This week - 8 carries! They completely abandonded the running game way too early.

Garrett looked lost on his play calling. The Redskins had him befuddled from the get-go.

Just an off game all the way around. I know they weren't going to go 16-0, but damn, that one sucked. I guess one way to look at the positive is that Washington played their A game and Dallas played their worst and Washington still only won by two.

no matter how much this loss burns and frustrates me, I'd rather lose now instead of having the media hype up every game. this loss better put this team down to Earth and get their heads straight. fucking pathetic out there today. PATHETIC. Felix Jones, WHEN YOU'RE ON KICKOFF RETURN, GET THE BALL AND RUN. DON'T DANCE OR JOG OR ANY OF THAT BULLSHIT, JUST RUN. sorry that's really been bugging me. everything today bothered me. this team looked more disorganized than high school teams. I hate the defensive scheme. the Cowboys are putting many men on the line but none over the middle. 6 men on the line, and one linebacker behind them, pretty easy to run through. just gotta get past a couple men and then you're in the secondary.

and the Cowboys DB's are good, but not good enough for the coverage scheme they're employing now. it's painfully conservative. ZERO interceptions through 4 games.

    I'm just gonna stop now.

buddy, not so sure you wanna see it. it WILL make you sick. Romo was off today. VERY off. he had poor timing with his receivers, although T.O. was having a tough time get open cause Shawn Springs was all over him. that would've been easy to fix if he was lined up in the slot or behind another receiver, but noooo Jason Garrett didn't care for any of that. you're gonna hate all the delayed handoffs to Marion Barber, which did nothing except give the 'Skins linemen more time to penetrate and take away the natural aggressiveness of Barber. it was hard for him to get going. Witten, like always, was great. but really, the Defense was just, I don't know how to say it. I won't even try.

Another typical Dallas/Redskins game. What happened to getting Felix involved in the passing game?? Or hell, a touch would have been nice. They can't abandon the run like they did today.

Well, I don't think any of us thought they were going to go 16-0, it's a loss but heck, bounce back next week and take it out on the Bengals next week.

I predicted a Cowboys blowout but I should have known better. The Redskins have won something like 5 out of their last 7 against Dallas or something stupid like that. Just don't match up well against them for whatever reason.

Exactly....our d-backs don't match up with Santana Moss......Newman looked like the mailman from Seinfeld.

Oh well....they'll get back on track next week. Although if they don't get the d-backs playing better, that Arizona game is gonna be tough.
