    Everyone else has given good advice. Good luck! It is always that first bit that is awkward, but once you relax and are comfortable, they will love ya! ;)

    Yep, I have some great friends here :) often when I start a thread I'm thinking :eek: then I look back on it and wonder what the big deal was :D

    And thank you... How does it work the other way around? Do parents get nervous meeting their sons girlfriend?

    Thank you Allie :) I've been so looking forward to this weekend... and when he told me that not just his dad but his mother are going too I pretty much went hysterical laughing :D I guess its kinda like a job interview... except I'll have to be a little bit more myself than I would :D It's just getting the balance right I spose :o I'm sure it will be fine. His sister said I've nothing to worry about.

    :D Yep, I think the fact that he's looking forward to it says a lot also. I'm not worried about the drink... he gets drunk with his dad, I'm sure his mother drinks, but I'll try and find a light beer perhaps :D

    It can't be any worse than my experience with meeting my girlyfriend's parents. On Easter Sunday. Including her stepdad, who's an asshole, and a cop, in that order. :p

    And back to meeting the parents, I think I decided a long time ago that an orphan is my kinda guy. :D (I'm kidding of course! :p Although there have been some parents I've met and wished that the guy was an orphan! :eek: )
