YESSSSSSSSS!!!!! That's all I have to say :o

He could call me ma'am any time... I'd rather he didn't... but I wouldn't kick him out of bed for it :)

Any other American think Matthew McCon has an accent? I didn't think he did.

I guess he does have kind of a drawl. And yes, he's a good looking dude. I'll give you that.

  • I'm in the 'sucker for an Irish accent' camp :o
In my experience, Irish men are sooooooooo smooth and I fall for it ever time - same guys, different accent, I'm pretty certain I would have told them to jog on!

They both happen to be from Dublin if that makes it more believable! :D

:D:D that just makes it even funnier... now I've a picture of a couple of scumbag junkies being 'smooth' :D sorry... but see, it really IS amazing what an accent can do.

I got back home thinking I was still hot and asking everyone for lighters wondering why they were rolling their eyes, lending me the lighter and getting away as quickly as they could whilst I'm standing there fluttering my eyelashes :D

    Just kidding... of course :o

well I probably DID have a bit more 'confidence' once I got back... but I soon got over that when I reminded myself that everyone has an Irish accent here :(

No you're not :p Irish guys are hilarious... sorry no offense... but I can't get chatted up anyway without laughing. It's usually following SOME kinda script.

    :o I know... shameful! :D

I love a good Southern US accent too... just don't call me ma'am please  wtf's THAT about?
Ma'am is used to be polite and show respect. It's not meant to be offensive.
  • Some girls like the other kind, and they put out real easy after ;)

I wouldn't know :o But if the guy's been at too, then he's useless  :D

I guess it might sound a little bit too formal for some people. If I was a girl I'm sure I'd appreciate it more than Helen though.

see, that's the thing...in the South it's not all that formal...it's just our colloquialism

some places in the South might not use ma'am all that much, but it's never a surprise to hear it

yet, in some places, you actually offend them if you don't use ma'am

and Hitch-Hiker, if you came down here, you'd get your fair share of 'sirs'

I believe there are many different accents in the Northeast US...very definitive...so I can now I can see how the Irish have different ones.

Here was have, in no particular order, and this is not a knock on any of them...

    New Yourk
    Lawng Ilinda
    Bahstin/New Hampsha
    Wusta
    Prawvidence
New JERsey/Philadelphia/Delmarva (heavy on the 'Rs' and 'Os')
I love to turn you on

Any other American think Matthew McCon has an accent? I didn't think he did.

Yes he does! And I'm a sucker for it! :D Mmm, between him and Sawyer...I'm also a big fan of their abs. Yum!

As for accents, I also like Irish, but my fav is Scottish; I also like English. I don't know about Welsh; my good friend is a Welshie but also a girl and I've never heard a male Welsh person speak (except for Tom Jones, but that doesn't count!). South African is nice; I also really like Australian. :) For US accents; I'm not sure which I like other than listening to Sawyer and Matt McCon. I'm partial to the standard American accent (there was a post on here earlier about the diff US accents).
