    That one scene pushes it maybe too far I agree, but I dunno if it encourages. Then again, if I was to have viewed it on it's own, outside of the film, then I'd think it should be censored.

    Magnolia is a brilliant movie!! ;) that is my type of movie, original, "new", unpredictable, touching and deeply humane...
    sorry but I don't know enough english to describe it better :o
    other comparable movies imo are Adaptation, Stranger Than Fiction thou these two are not so hartbreaking!
