    It's too bad we lost Cordero, but I think the Reds overpaid for him. Turnbow is good, but is pretty inconsistent. I wonder what Dan Plesac is up to these days...

    That's great. You doing a lot of hiking? I'm trying to get my ass in gear too. It would be nice to shed some weight before the big day!

    Why aren't the Crew playing today? It seems weird that they're off a day after opening day...

    Yeah, but it seems weird that they would start a series yesterday, have a day off and then continue the series tomorrow.

    Definitely! SI has them losing in the World Series this year. I got a huge laugh out of that. They won't even win the Central, let alone get to the world series!

    Hahaha...very true. The funny thing is that last year at this time I was just hoping for a good team with a winning record, but now I am at a position where I am really only worried about one thing for this team to go to the playoffs (aside from injuries of course) a closer.

    Now that Pedro is down which teams have notably better 1-2 starters than Sheets and Gallardo? Webb and Haren? Who hits better in the NL 1-7, 9? Our fielding looks good from what I saw this spring and opening day (it will never be #1 but hopefully a move from 14-7/8th would be possible). Peter Gammons said this team would win 90+ games this season, and Buster Olney said that we won 83 last year and not everything went our way for it to end with a winning season which is a good sign. Unfortunately (or fortunately) no one else gives us a chance in hell this year.

    No. You can 'virtually watch' the game on the Brewers site. It's better than nothing. They stranded 3 in the top of the 7th. That sucks, we could have blown the game wide open.
