I just saw McTavish on TSN. He says that Roloson's injury is quite serious and that he will not be back. Good news for the Hurricanes and bad news for the Oilers, especially Bergeron. Why plow another player into your own goaltender??

It's not Conklin's fault. McTavish should've had him in some games instead of giving him one start since aquirring Roli. He has no one to blame but who's in the mirror. I don't care if you are fighting for an 8 seed, you can't let your backups get stale before the playoffs.

Given Rolis perfomance in the playoffs and the flow of the games vs the different teams, Mac never had a chance to play the backups and he would never diss rolls that way.

Where did I say anything about it being Conklins fault?????

Only giving him one day off since March 8th isn't dissing anyone. Sure, maybe he doesn't get hurt.

    But what if he does...................

Exactly.....there was no time that they could've played Conklin.

I have no idea why Bergeron made that play. A pretty shitty move at a really important time. I hope the Oilers can pull through this.

If you look at it that way, maybe not.

But don't be surprised if Conklin falls flat on his face. But in a way, how could he not? He hasn't been a part of a competitive game in 3 months.

conklin shouldn't have made that bone head play behind the net. period. i'm sure he didn't have to play a few warm up games for that. but ya, it's too bad he was put in that position, but he made the bad play, and it wasn't because he had lack of ice time. if the first shot on net goes in, yes. bad give away behind the net, no. i'm not going to rule him out yet, though. he has to step up now. it can be done. :)

I actually think the skater may have tried to take it from him prematurely.. It looked as if he was going to send it back around the boards, but as soon as he turned around to flip it another stick was in the way...

eh, it isn't so late in Alberta(later here in PEI) but true most of them have probably gone to bed or to drown their sorrows. If I was there I would be drowning my sorrows for sure.

See prljamgirl is around. *waves hello*

Well that sucks! Nightmares of Bergeron's move replaying in your head or something more sinister?
