LOL! YESS!!!! Love that ad....always peed myself when the old Granny comes running in at the end and jumps into the skipping rope

Maybe if we drink more milo, we too shall be able to skip like her at that age  I'll make it my goal :D

Yeah it's classic! :D My Nan probably could, she's 84, and still rides her pushbike everywhere.

I wonder if skipping is as popular in other parts of the world and if it's called skipping?

I'd also like to know if there is an equivalent to MILO in other parts of the world. :)

Oh and I stumbled across another confusing cultural conundrum. :)

    Sanger = sammich, sandwich.
    NOPE!!!

Awwww :p Bless her! Lets hope you've inherited her genes :D
I'm sure skipping is really popular in the U.S.....well was. I remember they used to always have the skipping clips on Sesame Street, when I was a kid :D

Have you tried Ovaltine? Not sure where that's from....but that's similar to Milo....not as nice but an equivalent.

We discovered a lingo difference within Australia the other day....
In W.A we say a CARTON of beer, whereas in other states they say a SLAB, or CASE of beer.

Yeah, not a huge fan of Ovaltine or Aktavite!

My American friend suggested Quik but we have that here and I don't think it's much like Milo either.

Yeah, I forgot about Sesame Street. Lot of skipping going on there but do they call it skipping or jump rope?

    Oh and here, it's a slab. :D
    NOPE!!!

I think you're right re; Jump Rope......come on Americans.....wake up and let us know :D

    It's a carton in queensland.
Another within australia is the different beer sizes, when i went down to S.A i asked for a schooner at the pubs, they gave me a pot, i said no a schooner, they said that is a schooner... turns out queenslanders have pots, schooners pints. South australia has schooners, pints, imperial pints.. very confusing when all you want is a schooner of beer :D

Actually I learned that at bar school. They actually taught us what size and name for each state. Not that I can remember it now.

I think there's pots, schooners, pints, middies and glasses.

We have glasses and pots. I think that's all. I don't really drink beer so I never have to ask. :)

ME??! NO! Are you serious? :(
I spent the whole day posting all over the message pit, yesterday and had a tonne of fun doing it.
Geez...our threads gone....nothing we can do about it, so, as confusing as it is, move on and follow the rules or head over to LW :)

    and it's not 'a loo min e um' here....we pronounce it 'al U min e um' :)

I don't think so. Did you see Kat's reply to my post on the Aussie Acceptance thread before they closed it? I just hope they stick to their word and lock those other long CLICHEY threads then.
