the actor that plays Richard is now on the tv show Cane. (Haven't seen it).

I saw the actor that plays Bernard on the preview for ER last night. It showed him in a doctor's white coat, which lead me to believe that he might be a regular. (Didn't watch the show).

And I know I have seen a 3rd character in the commercial for another show, but I can't for the life of me remember which one it was.

So..... will these people be back on LOST, or are they gone for good?

Just went on imdb. The guy who plays Bernard, Sam Anderson, is a recurring character on ER. Been in 18 episodes over the years. Sort of how he is a recurring character on Lost but not a main character so he'll be back.

Nestor Carbonell who plays Richard probably won't be back unless Kane is canceled or CBS and ABC can work something out. CBS doesn't want him appearing on another network while Cane is airing at this time.

HONOLULU - Actor Daniel Dae Kim was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving early Thursday by Honolulu police — the fourth actor on ABC's "Lost" to run into trouble with the law while filming in Hawaii.

Kim, who plays Korean tough guy Jin-Soo Kwon, was taken into custody before 3 a.m. local time and released after posting bail, police said.

A telephone message left with Kim's publicist after regular business hours was not immediately returned.

Other "Lost" stars facing problems with the police in Hawaii include Michelle Rodriguez and Cynthia Watros, whose characters were killed off in 2005 after they both were arrested and pleaded guilty to drunken driving.

Rodriguez, who played Ana Lucia, was sentenced to five days in jail and $357 in fines. Watros, who played Libby on the show, had her license suspended for 90 days and paid a $312 fine.

A year ago, Adewale Akinnuoye Agbaje, the actor who played "Mr. Eko," was arrested for a traffic violation and accused of disobeying a police officer and driving without a license. The charges were dropped, but his character also was killed off.

Kim, 38, was born in Busan, South Korea, but grew up in Easton, Pa., and has a masters degree from New York University.

On the show, he portrayed a chauvinistic thug who at first was overly protective of his wife, but then began to warm up to other characters on the mysterious island where "Lost" is set.

They shot the series early this season. They started filming back in August so they shouldn't be affected by the tv writer's strike. The whole season should be done being shot by the time the first couple episodes air.

So sad that the actor selected to portray Jacob will never get to be seen on the screen.

The scramble began to reshoot the Jacob scenes, with the new, more menacing looking Jacob

I agree. Who says you have to change from Goulet. His death could be a plot by the Others to confuse us. Besides, we don't know if Jacob is human or spirit. Seems like Goulet is in shape to play both roles now. ;)

makes him even more mystical! the untimely passing is almost fitting to the character...

Not that I'm rooting for him to fail, but the actor who plays Richard (the ageless one on Lost) is on a new show called Cane and it's not doing well on the ratings. I know CBS said they wouldn't let him do both, but if it keeps getting bad rating he should return to Lost and maybe we'll finally find out why Richard doesn't age.

i'm sure they'd think goulet as jacob was the most ingenius idea/theory they've heard about the show! :D

    that picture certainly is haunting.

I was wondering when you'd pull that out. He certainly was a strange choice to sing the national anthem at the home opener this year.

Maybe the Red Sox will be haunted by the Curse of the Goulet?

He sang "The Impossible Dream" (which he had sung on Broadway I believe)because they were doing a tribute to the 40th anniversary of the 1967 Impossible Dream Sox.

Plus he was born in Lawrence MA.
