    hehehehehehehehehehe.............
I think his name in Japanese actually says fuk-u-CUB-BY...but I could have lost that in translation. It's so weird before last year I hated the Cardinals 1000 times more than the Cubbies, but all I can think of is wanting you all to lose. In fact, gun to my head, I would root for the Yankees to beat the Cubs in a World Series right now...how embarassing.

It's also nice to see his horrendous play in left in the 8th inning that let the go ahead run score and the eventual winning run get to 3rd.

after watching his outfield play last year....

doesnt it amaze you that any national team would have signed him???

    he cant play center...
    he cant play left....
i have no idea what he was like at second base....but if he was any good thats where he would be playing....

this guy has D.H written all over him!!!!!

Agreed. Don't get me wrong, a win is a win and I'll take it, but they did not deserve to win. When you blow a 7-0 lead you shouldn't win. We should consider ourselves lucky we did.

Those are the games the cubs need to win and they did.

What is with the D this year? We need to clean that up to win against the contenders.

Still very early in the year so I'm not too worried about it. Lou emphasizes the fundamentals so I'm sure Aramis, DeRosa and others have gotten a talking to over the last day and a half in Pittsburgh.

I'm glad to see Soriano back in the leadoff spot where he should be. He should get back to 30 home runs / 30 stolen bases this year, but I don't think he is a 40 to 50 SB guy now.

Fukudome has been outstanding and a surprise to just about everyone after struggling in spring training. If he continues this trend he should see some time batting clean up, move Aramis to batting 5th.

Reed Johnson seems like a great pick up... he knows how to get on base, whether it be taking a walk or a fastball to the back side, and will see a lot of starts this year especially against LHP.

Pitching has been good so far especially Big Z, Dempster, Kerry Wood and Carlos Marmol. If Wood can hold up he has the stuff to be THE premiere closer in all of baseball. Time will only tell.

D Lee is looking more like his 2005 form!!! He could easily hit .330/40/120.

Felix Pie is going to have to start getting some hits and walks or he is going to be sent back to AAA again. Reed Johnson is currently the better option but Pie has unlimited potential and is still only 22.

Another crazy extra inning game in Pittsburgh. Glad to get the win, but the bullpen is taxed now. Very promising to see another great outing by Dempster.

Two thingsduring the game. One, does anyone else think it should be illegal for the Pirates mascott to dance around like a goon behind home plate while the Cubs are pitching. Two, very wierd watching Hart throw seeing though he wears number 22.

What was with that? He was doing a little thrust thing and it was distracting. That was about the time Hart gave up the 2 run homer to tie in the 14th. I am sure if a complaignt was made he would have to move.

    Go Cubs!!!!

Did anyone have last nights game in HD? I have Directv and it was on Ch 668 and HDTV kept being shown on the TV but it was not.

Also the away games that I have seen are not full widescreen HD and there has been advertising saying every game in HD (Even away games)

I am becoming an HD snob. Switching between the Ottawa vs Pitt playoff game in full HD and back to the Cubs game (no HD) was a bit disappointing.

I was happy it was in FULL HD last night.

Hill did not look too good.

Marquis was going to pitch last night because of the heavy right handed lineup. I heard this morning that he has the flu now and will not pitch tonight.

    Big Z will be throwing.

    GO CUBS!!!
    84 more wins to 90
