Glad to hear you got the game you wanted. First spring training game Thur. afternoon and it's on WGN radio so the afternoon at work will be a lot better.

I am having a birthday part on Saturday and saw that the Cubs are playing at the same time. I hope that I get to catch some of it as I always enjoy watching them while snow is on the ground outside. It means the summer is close.

Baseball season is just around the corner.

Wish I could watch the games on Sat. and Sun. as they are on TV, but its CSN so I can't watch them up here. Come regular season I will though, cause I'm gonna get MLB.TV. Yes, baseball season is right around the corner!!

I dont see how the team and stadium can be sold separately. Maybe Reindorf can buy wrigley and move the Sox there.

I would not mind the Cubs building a stadium in Plainfield so I can walk to the games like I did when I was a kid.

Nice start on out way to the Cactus League championship! Theroit 3 for 3, nice HR and triple by Fontenot. It appears Fukudome is a patient hitter, which will be nice to have in this lineup.

Nice to see Dempster, Wood, and Marmol pitch great today. Especially Dempster as he needs to make the transition back to being a starter. Also nice to see D Ward hitting well. 3 Weeks!!

    Soriano
    Lee
    Ramirez
    Fukudome
    DeRosa
    Soto
    Pie

I guess its okay... I have a hard time having Soriano bat 2nd with his salary but you have to trust in Sweet Lou. Plus, Soriano is only assured ONE at bat per game batting second... and I like the combo of Soriano, Lee, Ramirez.

1 week from now I'll be on my way to Chicago for Opening Day. Hopefully it warms up and most of the snow is gone. Did anyone else see they are letting us vote on what song we want to hear as they run onto the field Opening Day. It better be Jump!!

Plus, Soriano is only assured ONE at bat per game batting second.

Please explain this one for me? I do not understand.

27 outs per nine innings would mean at least 3 at bats if he were to bat 1st 2nd or 3rd in a perfect game.

He only bats 2nd in any particular inning ONE TIME. During the 2nd through 9th innings he could be the first player to bat in that inning, 3rd, 4th, 5th, and so on.

    Get it?
