I hear ya. I bought 20 games two years ago, the 96 loss season, and learned the hard way not to do that again. I'll probably get 6 this year. Opening Day, Sox, Cards, and maybe one or two more. I'm going to all the games in Milwaukee, and those SOB's raised there tickets too, since everyone is jumping on there bandwagon.

As a season ticket holder the price of tickets have not gone up in the last 3 years. They did go up this year and now match what single game tickets go for so it was a big jump.
$17 ticket is now $20. It does not seem like much but when you multiply that by 4 seats and 55 games it is a lot.
The payroll goes up every year as does everything you buy in the park.
Just slap a name on Wrigley Field like Nike Field and keep the prices for poor bastards like me so I can afford to bring my family to a baseball game.
This is the year guys. Cubs should run and hide in this division. Lets hope they can get hot in October soy we can see a World Series.

MESA, Ariz. (AP)—Second baseman Mark DeRosa was taken out of the Chicago Cubs’ spring training complex on a stretcher and transported by ambulance to a hospital Saturday after experiencing an irregular heartbeat.
DeRosa was sitting up as he was wheeled out of the Fitch Park complex. Some of his teammates were still in the field winding up a day of workouts.
“Mark’s doing fine,” manager Lou Piniella said. “He came in with a rapid heartbeat from doing the things on the field and was having a little trouble breathing, so they called in the medical team.
“He’s completely stable, but better be safe than sorry. With the irregular heartbeat and so forth, they sent him to the hospital to test him and evaluate him. But he’s fine.”
A team spokesman said DeRosa felt faint but never lost consciousness.
“I talked to him. He was a little nervous and outside of that he’s OK,” Piniella said.
Team trainer Mark O’Neal accompanied DeRosa to the hospital.
“We’ll find out what the medical staff or doctor at the hospital tells us to do,” Piniella said. “I don’t expect this to be serious and don’t expect it to be too long.”
A team spokesman said the medical team was brought in so DeRosa could be hooked up to an EKG first and then be moved to the hospital for further testing. A team doctor was at the complex.
Shortstop Ryan Theriot said DeRosa started to have a problem during groundball practice Saturday.
“It wasn’t any one particular thing,” Theriot said. “It started to speed up on him, and I think he started to get a little worried.
“He was fine through the whole thing. I think it was just one of those deals. He was more scared than anything.”
DeRosa, who will turn 33 on Feb. 26, batted .293 in 149 games last season, his first with the Cubs.

I am having a birthday part on Saturday and saw that the Cubs are playing at the same time. I hope that I get to catch some of it as I always enjoy watching them while snow is on the ground outside. It means the summer is close.
Baseball season is just around the corner.

I disagree with moving Lee out of the 3 hole, but the article I read said Lou used 125 different lineups last year.

Wish I could watch the games on Sat. and Sun. as they are on TV, but its CSN so I can't watch them up here. Come regular season I will though, cause I'm gonna get MLB.TV. Yes, baseball season is right around the corner!!

"I play good, hard-nosed basketball.
Things happen in the game. Nothing you
can do. I don't go and say,
"I'm gonna beat this guy up."
Yeah, I saw that today too.
Pisses me off!
I'd love to hear my leftfielder saying that..
I dont see how the team and stadium can be sold separately. Maybe Reindorf can buy wrigley and move the Sox there.
I would not mind the Cubs building a stadium in Plainfield so I can walk to the games like I did when I was a kid.

i will be listening.....
spring is around the corner...
Till there aint nothing left worth taking away from me.....
Fresh grass; leather snaps,
Fukudome saves the day.
Cubs Champs in oh-eight
Hope Springs (another haiku)
Ump says "Batter up."
First pitch is thrown tomorrow.
Hope springs eternal.
