I hear that!!
I love where I live. I grew up in this town and finally moved back. I love that my house is just that - mine.believe it or not, we don't "need" anything. that is only the spoiled brat in us trying to fill some temporary solution to an emptyness that does not exist.

yes, at the end of the day i love living in a 'small town' although Adelaide does take the piss from other Aussie cities about being a hole (ha  )

I love where I live.
Hour to the beach, hour to Mt. Hood, hour to the high desert.
Good public transportation(that I don't use)
Many microbreweries, fine greens, lots of good local and touring music all of the time.
Big town, but doesn't feel big at all. No sales tax and people pump your gas.NERDS!0 -

Yeah, it's bad. I just put a post about the snow we got last night. And I live in one of the burbs that gets the most lake effect. Ugh! I grew up in the Adirondacks so you'd think I'd get used to it, but I just hate it more and more!
Edit: And, the with the snow comes bad driving. Normally, my drive to work is about 15 minutes. Took me almost 45 to get home last night and it was SKETCHY!!!!
I'm getting Dinosaur tomorrow for a work event! Pulled Pork, Beans, Cajun Salt Potatoes & Brownies! Woot Woot!"Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former. "

Ouch! (doubles over from kick to the groin!)
enjoy the dino!!! awesome!
And if you grew up in the Adirondacks, then I'm sure you've been to Nicola's in LP??? Awesome stuff, although I prefer the old location better.I love to turn you on0 -
LOVE IT. living in suburbs in Dublin. everything is close to me, the city has lots of nice "neighbourhoods", lots of parks and grass and trees and shtuff everywhere. Fantastic social life too, ive never been in another city-centre yet that has at least four or five bars/clubs on every single street! i am close to the sea, and the (small but beautiful) mountains.
MOST IMPORTANTLY i have the distinct pleasure of waking up nearly every day, looking out my window and commenting to myself that the weather is "FIERCE MILD".
unfortunately the main gripe is that in dublin the cost of living is incredibly expensive, one of the highest in europe. that and roads/public transport are disgracefully undeveloped.0 -

Oh I LOVED living in Dublin! I lived on Bushy Park Road in Dublin 6 (How I remember that I don't know) and it was so much fun! Dublin is such a great city! I also lived in Limerick, and even though my friends and coworkers were great, obviously Dublin was much more fun as a city.0 -

Coolest thing I did was rent a bike and ride it up into the vineyards above Vevey and get plastered wine tasting on my rented bike.one foot in the door
