^^^She looks so happy, that she always has a smile on her face. Norm does too. Warms my heart. I think that some of the luckiest dogs on earth are owned by all of you Pearl Jam fans. I see so much crap going on in the Show/Sport Doberman world some days it makes me sick. I will never again be a part of cropping or docking a dogs ears and tail, after owning Petey I truly do not believe in it, now I see it as complete cosmetic surgery, like mutilation, I wish Petey still had his ears and his tail. His breeder had already cropped and docked him when I bought him, so there was no way I could have gotten *Petey* all intact. Now if I ever go the puppy route again....I will have to work very hard to find a all natural doberman. I won't be a part of that again.

    Have a wonderful weekend everyone!!!

Petey and I are off for a cold slippery hike.
Don't be too hard on yourself.....we all know Petey has a pretty cush life.

and, yes, Gracie usually is smiling. She, too, has it made.

  • Ripper looks like a great dog.
I had a dog named Pete too. We lost him almost a year ago, in February. He was the best.

Here's a picture of me with my dogs Django and Pete. It was taken a few months before Pete died. Pete is the brown guy. They are both shelties.

Here are a couple of pictures of Django. He is 6 years old and really sweet.

Yeah, even though he's been doing it for years it still cracks me up every time I walk into a room and see him!
  • We got a new dog named Penny last October October from Sheltie Rescue. She's about 4 years old. She is Miss Personality and likes everybody but she is really a handful. She loves to play.

    CarolynPenny2.jpg

She is much smaller than Django but he is really big for a sheltie. They are great buddies. Here they are playing together in the yard soon after she came to live with us.

    Some catching up here

Bailey had a tumor removed from his side :(

Luckily the biopsy came back negative and he is fine ! We have a T-shirt on him to help with him trying to scratch it....didn't work he already re-opened it and we had to take him back to get 2 new stitches

He is set to get his stitches out on Friday..hopefully he doesn't rip anymore out before then

Good news that it was benign! I've been through that before and it's so scary. Is it a big incision? My dog looked like she'd been in a fight after her surgery.

I hope Bailey is good as new in no time!

It's great seeing all the new dogs in here.

I'm sure Bailey is looking very stylish in his t-shirt!

Gracie met some new friends today. Gracie is one of the lighter ones, with the "smooth" ears. She's 9 months. Comet looks a lot like Gracie. He's two and has crinkly ears. Caramel is the darker one. He's four. Gracie is now exhausted. HOORAY!

This is a picture of Zuma the first night I brought her home. She was so exhausted, she fell asleep in her water dish. One of my friends made a very astute observation, "Just like her owner, always passed out drinking..."

She's still a baby, but not really a puppy anymore :D She's a yellow lab, but her coat is much more golden looking. She'll be three at the end of the month. This is her now:

Hi everyone....thank you all for sharing all your beautiful doggie photos! Petey is doing great, having a ton of fun out in the snow. We have been out snowshoeing most days. Petey loves doing zoomies in the fresh powder.

Bailey and Chloe are pretty good at the Vet's office

Bailey of course knows where the treats are and sits in front of the shelf and whines and then looks at us like "Give me treat already!"

Glad to hear Norm is Healthy !
