hi everybody!
so, yesterday was 8months since surfer died. u all know how i miss him.
my dadd used to have a church on a residential street. across from it was a huge house with 3 big doggies. oneday i looked over and freaked OUT cuz i thought it was SURF!!! :eek: me and death ran across the street to get closer. it was not SURF but man did it look like his TWIN!!! :eek: Every sunday morning i would feel guilty about leaving surf at home while i went to church. once i'd get there, i'd see the twin. it made me happy. well TODAY i remembered about that doggie!!! i was feeling bummed out cuz i miss surfer and all of a sudden........i saw that doggie in my mind and i HADD to drive over there to see him. and i did. it gripped whats left of my blackened heart to see him. at the same time, it made me remember great years spent with surf. he barked and jumped at strangers just like surfer used to. ahhhhh it was pretty good to "see surfer" again. just thought i'd share.

That's so sweet - nice to know surfer has a doppleganger out there. It will be one year on April 15 since my cat Stella died. She was almost eighteen years old, we adopted her when she was six months old. I think about her everyday, I miss her so much. I'm thinking about the Cherry blossom tree we buried her under, I won't be able to see it bloom this spring cause I'm overseas - it makes me sad. And I miss my dog sooooo much that it hurts. Sorry didn't mean to go off and have my own pity party there. Hope all is well with you - take care and make sure you check on Surfer II often.

This is Lola. She is a cross between a Yellow Lab and a Polar Bear. She enjoys cuddling with her mommy and daddy, exploring new places, and sleeping. One day she hopes to have a little brother to play with.

I love this place...we share our joy and we share our sorrow - and we all know what each other is going through in either case...
When I was a kid, I didn't realize that as I got older losing a dog would be tougher. Like you all miss your pups, I think about my little Pinkerton everyday...it's been two years now and stll a sharp pain...but the other day, I SWEAR I saw her run into the bathroom - out of the corner of my eye...there she was! (man, this stiings my eyes....). That means she's with us in our "new" house, a place she never lived (about two hours after she died, we put our house on the market - there was no way we could live there any longer)...anyway, I was so happy to "see" her! And I'm glad to hear that some of you have similar experiences...It hurts, but it's comforting...
My thoughts are with all who miss their pooches...
Oh no...how old was he? how did he die? This is a sad thread sometimes....he was so cute!! :(
haha yeah, its sadd SOMETIMES but the thing thats good is all of us in here REALLY understand. And i think its better to share in here where we get it rather than start a thread on a doggie subject that others will make fun of you for or not be as sensitive. The upside of it all is i LOVE seeing everyones doggies!!! i REEEEEEEEALLY wish failedp would post more pics of DAKOTA dammit!!!!

i hadd the chance today to play with 2 beautiful german sheperd doggies at the park! They were 3 months old and snuggly as ever. it totally made me feel happy! i miss SURFER terribly but im always gladd to be comforted from time to time by random doggies. speaking of which.....
