Yes! See you in the playoffs. Jagr looked great on those power play goals and Lundqvist is getting hot.

Henrik is good- but he cant do it all himself , to get to the cup .

Id love for us to get 4th , gotta watch not only NJ but also Ottawa, and the Flyers.

    Lets Go Rangers

    65 goals for Ovechkin?

    ok
    i was wrong on that
boston and ottawa are the only ones that can catch us, and we are the only ones who can overtake the devils .

we can go to as low as 7th i believe.

    PLAYOFF TICKETS
    ON SALE TUESDAY

New York Rangers 2008 Stanley Cup Playoff Tickets go On-Sale Tuesday, April 8, beginning at 10:00 a.m., exclusively via Ticketmaster.

A friend with season tix told me that if they make the finals, he will have paid more for his playoff tix than his season tix.

devils tix are already onsale- if youre that confident that it will be us vs them ,.....

oh all the irony in the fact that we are all rooting for the flyers tonight over nj.

Here's a little more info about the playoff ticket sale:

In an effort to have tickets available to as many fans as possible, a maximum of two tickets per person may be purchased, in any combination for the six potential home games during Rounds One and Two. Tickets are extremely limited and will be available in the 300 and 400 levels and start at $84.50  for Round One and $104.50  for Round Two.

And folks were complaining about PJ ticket prices?

I told the referee what order I wanted to shoot and I put my finger up and told him to give me a second, because I wanted to check with Shanny [Brendan Shanahan] to see if he could go first after he'd been on at the end of [OT]," said Renney, whose team has gone first at essentially every home game.

"I looked up, the referee was gone, he came back and he said, 'You're going to shoot second.'

"I said, 'Wait a minute, I don't want to shoot second. He said, 'You told me that.' I said, 'No, I said to give me a second.' He decided I couldn't change my mind, or he couldn't change his, which was unfortunate. No shots had been taken. I was very, very clear."

Lundqvist surrendered three goals on four shots. That was one too many.

"I wasn't really ready for them to shoot first, but I don't blame the goals on that," he said. "Now, we just have to get ready for the big one on Sunday."

    tough morning for carolina fans.

today i say we sit henrik, shanny, jagr, gomez. henrik could use the day off, shanny and gomez can rest their injured bodies, and maybe not sit jagr? you want to keep him hot.

i know home ice is on the line, but ranger fans fill up probably about 40% of the rock, so losing home ice first round is not THAT bad.

i think renney will push / play them all today.

alltho,..maybe he needs to sit henrik today , ?

he was completely absemnt from the prior game in the shootout-
he looked completely lost and out of place ! At MSG no less !

it must be done in regulation

    from the bulletin:

    April 06, 2008
    Best Four Out of Eight
They've played seven already, and there may be as many as seven more to go. But today, there is one last game to bridge the regular season to the post-season for the Rangers and Devils. Today, the two trans-Hudson rivals play one last regular season qualifier to determine pole position for the playoff series that begins later this week. The Rangers have to win to get home ice advantage, but they have to win in regulation -- adding a fourth overtime or shootout win over the Devils will not do the trick. Look for them to treat a tie late in regulation time like a one goal deficit and pull the goalie in favor of an extra attacker.

    amazing !

None other than Adam Graves himself, whose No. 9 will be retired on a different night before this ceremony takes place, told Bathgate of the honor over lunch in Toronto this week.

From the final No. 9 to the greatest No. 9. How neat is that?

Bathgate, who will turn 76 in August, is the fourth-leading goal-scorer and point-producer in Rangers history. He won the Hart Trophy in 1959 on a team that didn't qualify for the playoffs. From 1956-57 through 1962-63, he finished second in the Art Ross race twice; third twice; and fourth three times. He was a first- or second-team All-Star four times in an era when that meant bumping Gordie Howe, Rocket Richard or Boomer Geoffrion from the chart.

Howell, who will turn 76 in December, was booed out of the captaincy in the mid-'50s but became popular enough to have been given a "Nite" by the team in 1966-67. He wore the Blueshirt in more games, 1,160 of them, than any player in franchise history. He won the Norris Trophy in Bobby Orr's 1966-67 rookie season, and thus stands as the only defenseman to eclipse Orr in the voting while No. 4 was healthy
