Did you guys see how towards the end of the game they called something like 3 Icing calls against the rangers when they shouldn't have been called?
And CROSBY is the cry baby? Man, he's got nothing on Ranger Fan. You guys take the cake - 55 shots! That's almost twice the average for an NHL game. But hey go ahead and blame Crosby for drawing a penalty. Whatever makes you feel better...

the blame is on our lack of efficient defensemen,

but even that doesnt take away the crybabyness of Sid.

Wayne Gretzky has to givem a talk about crying,

and plus, Dubi said so .

he is correct in some cases.

but the rangers lost last night because they took the team bus to the game? he is starting to run out of things to ridicule torts about.
  • I think his point is more that it doesn't matter which way the Rangers travel to those games and how Tortorella's style is not working with this bunch. Of course that's an indictment on the players for not responding to it if only for a matter of professional pride, but I've often believed a hard-ass is not necessarily a good thing unless it's for a team that has championship-level talent and needs that extra push (1977 Yankees, 1994 Rangers etc).

agreed. it's just such a vicious cycle. the rangers have always tried to get a coach that fits with their players. what happens? coach is gone after 2 years, but yet the underachieving/overpaid players stick around. how about trying to get players that fit with coaches? i don't think anyone will question tort's coaching ability, and i do hope he is still around for a few years to come.

the guy deserves a crack at it with the right players in the locker room. until he gets that, i refuse to hold him accountable for anything negative that happens this season.

as far as GM... ppl keep talking messier. is he really the right guy for the job? he ran several players out of town as a player simply because he just didn't want them around.

fair enough, as for the GM, he can't hit the golf course in Edmonton soon enough for me. Messier is interesting because superstar players don't always have the success as coach/management type. I would see him more as a figurehead type with someone who has a lot of scouting experience working directly with him.

on the game last night, right after they gave Henrik the hook
( still dont know why this timing was way off IMO )
when henrik went to the end of the bench,
you could see he was pissed
the trainer guy with the beard and glasses put the towel on Henriks shoulder
Henrik took it off , and threw it down to the ground.
You could totally see he was on fire.

so will NYR see the 2nd oldest plasyer in NHL ever on Fri night ?

( Eds buddy Chelios gonna be in town with Atlanta )

Starting to think it'd be better off if we didnt m,ake playoffs and get a decent draftpick- if Sather hasnt already traded it away for lets say - wade redden )

Torts is running out of time, according to the aforementioned Larry Brooks.

This guy has been mixing lines, just as inconsistent as this team as a whole .

    aside battling for our lives,
maybe because only 1 year removed,
its tough to see a guy like Blair Betts, would always gave 100 % on every shift.

Guys like Ian Laperriere, he kinda blends right in on the other team.
    ( could care less )
