well, after reading The Hockey Rodent,

i see my F 5 distractions were indeed in full effect,

despite the 2-1 score that might suggest this game was " close " ,

it really doesnt indicate how much our beloved Blueshirts were outplayed.

    among some highlights:

The Rangers managed two shots in eight-minutes of man-advantage.

    Two shots.

They were guilty of too much passing again.

And in their own zone, there's no better adjective than "dreadful" to describe the chaos that posed as coverage. Montreal had the Blueshirts skating into each other, skating into Henke. The good guys were clowns in their own zone.

It's not even worth a chalk-talk. The score fails to convey the utter domination, including the battles along the boards. The Rangers were one step behind all night. And were it not for the heroics of their backstop, the outcome would have been determined long before the second intermission

    :lol::lol:

So now the objective is 9-3-0 to avoid virtual elimination, if you subscribe to the 89 point playoff do-or-die number.

  • I remember the last time the Rangers hosted the Blues in a season-saving type of game on March 3, 2007. They rallied from two goals down and won in the shootout thanks to Valliquette. Anyone have any confidence in this bunch they can do the same tonight?

I believe so. It also was a week after they allowed two shorthanded goals to Columbus in a home loss, a game that featured Jason Chimera scoring on an end-to-end shorthanded rush.

    Ah yes- JDs Blues.

    Beantown is Sunday .

I actually turned down beautiful seats ( 2 of them )
for tonight in Club Section 40 / Gate 60
    directly on the aisle and
right over the goalies left shoulder behind the glass.
    ( Henriks shoulder for 1st and 3rd )

I am too tired to buck into the city and then back home,
all to be up @ 430 am for work tomorrow .
My age is starting to show, seems I have a hard time doing it anymore.

    Lets Go Rangers !

    Redden deflects a shot in,
    then takes a penalty,
and the whole game goes to shit in a matter of 3 minutes into the 2nd .

    1st goal in 185 games?
