Way too busy to comprehend. Between work, my brother getting married, my own impending marriage and life in general, just haven't had the time for the pit. But I'm still alive, kicking and rooting for the blueshirts!

I'll be up in section 405 tonight!

    Avery Page Six

    PRETTY SLICK

November 19, 2007 -- NEW York Ranger Sean Avery has a hard time letting go of the past. Just a week after the hockey stud hooked up with ex-girlfriend Lake Bell, Page Six learned he dialed up another old flame, Elisha Cuthbert. Though rumors of him dating Mary-Kate Olsen were quickly put on ice, our insider said, "Sean called Elisha last Saturday night, and they got together." Reps for Avery told Page Six the player had "no comment."

  • i'll give credit to the islanders for holding the rangers to a season-low in shots but that game with the exception of the second period kind of sucked. it was interesting though sitting next to the islander assistant coach and watching him react to the non-calls and calls and talk through the headset to the bench.

everyone is in panic mode ?

didnt the same thing happen last year- isles taking the first four , and Rangers taking the 2nd four ?

besides, we're still in first place.

funny that a Laffs fan stops by to bust our chops about Drury and Gomnez signings, and attributes it all to Avery

maybe theyve never heard of Lundqvist, Dawes, Girardi, Dubinsky, or Prucha up in Ontario .

    Thats also Laff-able.

I think that there are more players from Thunder Bay in the NHL right now (there is at least 10) than there have ever been from New York City.

Because New York City is the mecca of hockey knowledge -- hahahaha.

And get it right -- I'm a Sens fan. I'm pretty much as anti-Leaf as they get.

Lundqvist is good now, but he will have his Tomi Salo - esque crash back to earth soon enough.

I hate Avery but he is the only entertaining player to watch on the Rangers right now (again, Lundqvist is ok now too).

The Rangers are no better than a second-round loser as long as Jagr and Drury are wearing Rangers jerseys.

or maybe dubinsky is making more of an impression?

or, possibly making room for callys return ?

    from the bulletin :

    November 21, 2007
    Two to Debut Tonight
It's going to be a big night tonight for two young hockey players. Greg Moore and Ivan Baranka will play their first NHL game when the Rangers visit Tampa Bay, according to John Dellapina of Blueshirts Blog reporting from the morning skate. Baranka, brought up in case Jason Strudwick couldn't play, will pair with Strudwick, taking the place of Michal Rozsival (sore knee). With Chris Drury moving to the left wing with Jaromir Jagr, where Moore lines up is not certain at this time -- probably on the third line on right wing, with Petr Prucha moving back to the left side or perhaps to the middle with Marcel Hossa on the left.

Lol -- I was responding to your "Thunder Bay team" barb. I just had to point out that there aren't enough players from big NYC to fill a net in hockey whereas little old Thunder Bay could fill a couple of lines in the NHL(including one of your defencemen). If you dug, I'm sure that there are actually some players from NYC in the NHL right now though.

I don't want people to know of Thunder Bay - we have it pretty good here. If you survey 100 people, 99 will tell you that NYC is an awesome place to visit but a dreadful place to live. Conversely T Bay isn't that great of a place to visit (unless you come drinking out at my camp) but it is a great place to live.

Also: I think we have some sports other than hockey way up here in Canada too, seeing as we have had some Canadian MVPs of MLB & the NBA in the past few years.

Anyway, Lecavalier is going to have his way with no-heart Jagr & his merry band of overpaid pylons tonight. Good luck to you though.

    Also:

Drury and Jagr were not anywhere near the reason why their teams won cups.

Drury lucked out that he was playing on the same team as Sakic, Forsberg and Roy -- he is probably the most over-rated player in the NHL.

I can't remember if Dominant Jagr was playing on those Cup winners in Pittsburgh or if Floating Jagr was playing -- either way that was Lemieux's team anyway. Dominant Jagr doesn't show up very often anymore.
