oh, looks like you have some free time tonight. Couldn't make it to the computer last night, when the Orioles drubbed the laptop Thief, eh? At least the Yankees got their ass handed tot ehm by a decent team with one of the best pitchers in baseball. You got punked by the immortal Chris Waters and the last place Orioles. And what'd you do? You hid like a coward until the yankees lost.0 -

Well I do root for a team with a great winning history and tradition The Boston CELTICS.
At one time as a yewt I lived in Brooklyn, NY and I still could never root for the Yanks and sadly it will never happen. I'm a Die Hard and Beantown lifer even when I move to South Florida..West Plam Beach County.

So did the Yankees win or lose tonight? Today my boss whose a half a billonaire went to the race track in MD. Long story short I bet an tri exacta and 1 of my picks got scratched so I picked the first came to me 7. Well that 7 went off at 50-1 little did I know and 7-1-10 came in and I won $2401.40
I was so pumped I forgot his wheelchair at the track. Anyway the reason I brought this up was in that race there was a horse called Yankeessweptinfour (had to be a Red Sox owner) and I was so tempted to bet that horse. Good thing I didn't he led 3/4 of the way and faded in the end.

WHY would you wanna move to Hurricane ravaged Florida?? I lived there for bout 4 yrs and every 6 months that shit starts to hit and it becomes annoying as hell..work slows down, you gotta board up your doors and windows..possibly go without power like I did for almost 2 months after Katrina and Wilma...dont do it man!
just use it as a vacation spot! lol
ok back to the rivalry... I don't mind the Celtics so much cause they got my boy KG at least and our Knicks suck anyways. Besides Baseball and Streetball are tied for my least fav sports
at least your not a Patri..I mean a N.E. Cheaters fan right?
right???Aah, fuck it, I’m just gonna go home, turn on the fuckin’ TV...

I've been a Patriots and ALL of BEANTOWN fan since 1972 and I ain't changing anytime soon. Even though i consider myself Northerner and My favorite season is winter i've come to like Florida. I now live there 6 months out of the year because of work during the winter months and my lady is there so what's not to like. It could be I just want to move closer to wear I was born in Jamaica.
One thing though when I've been to Panthers games I'm sweating wearing my Bruins sweater and peeps take off their sweater jersey after the games down in Sunrise FL. It gets HOT down Hear-a.

Ok let me just throw this out there.....
Over the past few years what moves has Brian Cashman made that have really turned out right for the Yanks. I would say 90% have failed. Bobby Abreau was a great move I'll give him that. But think of all the others. Mostly in the pitching staff. Yes, he's had some bad luck and the team has had the injury black cloud follow them but I'm not a big fan of the moves Cashman has made and the teams he's put together. The Yanks have had great players the past few years NOT a great team.
Watching the game last night they announcers eluded to this when talking about a chat they had with Andy Pettite. Andy pretty much said the same thing.
Anyway.....thoughts on Cashman? He really doesn't take much heat.PJ - 36

Fighting Hellfish wrote:The forecast calls for a cool clear night, with no chance of cockroaches tonight. A nice Yankee win, coupled with the Sox getting trashed by the O's, 11-5 thru 6 innings and 4 Red Sox "pitchers". Looks like Clay Bucholz may have to fall back on his 2nd career choice, Laptop ThiefLet's not be negative now. Thumper has spoken0

Fighting Hellfish wrote:I had the Sox fans in mind. You can never find them when Th e Sox lose, and if you couple it with a Yankee win, they're really in hiding. If the Yankees beat the Sox, especially at Fenway, they enter the Witnes Protection program. Ponson's gonna have to pitch the game of his life tomorrow. halladay's a beast. Do the guys in the bullpen bother to even show up when he pitches?
whats that 6 games over .500 now?

- Buzz is building that the Yankees are cooking up a musical extravaganza for the Stadium's closing ceremony in November. Word is George Steinbrenner and son Hank want something to rival the sayonara shows that the Mets got Billy Joel to do at Shea. Mentioned to perform at the House That Ruth Built are Bruce Springsteen and Paul McCartney, though sources close to both rockers weren't aware of any discussions. A Steinbrenner rep had no details. For the ones who had a notion, a notion deep inside

The Boss would be more fitting. Glory Days? That would be a great way to close out the stadium seeing as there won't be any postseason baseball to do it.Brian0
