  • I'd exclude Damon. He's old but he still busts it consistently, age is his problem, but agree with the rest.

while I agree with you, I wouldn't mind if they traded him in the offseason, or even now if he made it thru waivers. coming off a great year, he has some value. better to get rid of a guy a year too early than a year too late. I wouldn't give him away though, it would have to be legitimate prospects. he does have a no trade though.

    Bottom line is.....

They need this year to end and then start over a bit.
Joe Girardi is the man. I beleive he did not properly get to use his baseball smarts this year with this team. He needs a Girardi team, not a cashman torre team.

Girardi needs guiys like him that show emotion and bust their ass to win games. That being said i'm not sure cashman is the man to provide the yanks with that sort of team. I say that only based on what he has provided.
ie,....giambi, kevin brown, jaret wright, damon, arod, pudge, pavano, on and on and on

At the end of this year Girardi and the beginning of next, the yankee staff need to let these guys know this high paid celebrity in NY type baseball is over. I'd take 9 Scott Brosious over 9 Damon, Arods, Giambi's ANYDAY!

btw....2 more K's for Arod today. 1st inning was a rally killer.
As for 2008 --- Lets go CUBS!
maybe A-rod can take lessons from Brosius or watch clips from back then on how to play 3rd or be a professional.

I def agree that they have to provide a young, fresh and HUNGRY staff for Joe G. These gys have nothing left to play for. A-rod's paid as are a few others and the rest already got their rings so hey dont seem as hungry any more. Only ones thats even worth keping are Jeter, Joba and Wang as far as stars go.
Aah, fuck it, I’m just gonna go home, turn on the fuckin’ TV...
Watch the nightly news and drink a beer...
Like I could even change the world, yeah right...

it's come to the point that i would rather see melky at the plate with a runner on third than arod. at least melky could hit it in the outfield for an attempt at a sacrifice.
  • that inning was a perfect microcosm for this whole season. 1st and 2nd, noone out, down 2-0 and 3 4 and 5 coming up. And they got nothing
  • it's all over ... clap clap clapclapclap!

you are funny. It's a big deal though to at least come back and tie. Sterling magnifies everything though. Did he say something about the Giambam-tino or something like that?

you're right. I deleted it. Sorry, these internet tough guys who only have the balls to say something when things go their way just bring out the worst in me. Every yankee fan on here has been sayin g for days that they're probably done, and Tommy Toughnuts comes in here now to be a tough guy. I should just ignore it, but I hate people like that. No balls

oh, she's awful. For some reason, Steinbrenner loves her. i don't know many Yankee fans who enjoy listening to the games on radio. They're both brutal
  • The way things have been going for the yanks and the extreme lack of excitement/enthusiasm.....the broadcasters had to react that way with Giambi's homer. They had to add some life to the dead audience.

    what. the. fuck.

how useless can one person be?

next at bat, i would love to see the red sox infield scream, "easy out!!" and move like 15 steps in like we use to do in gym class when the girl without an ounce of athletic ability would step up to the plate.
