  • i can't believe you like those hot dogs. i went to a game in may (first time ever to yankee stadium) and got a dog. it was the worst hot dog i've ever eaten. thank god i didn't get two. and if i remember correctly, i got: 1 hot dog, 2 sodas, a pretzel, and.....nachos, i think?? and it came to $32. wait, maybe i'm wrong. i'll have to ask my wife when i get home. i might have bought one other thing, but i'm not sure.

sounds about right. I love going going to games, but that, $30 parking, plus the tickets.....watching on TV is just fine by me

  • well, I just hope Cashan, assuming he's back himself, is already working on 2009. Get rid of half this team. Too bad no team in baseball would take a $30 million salary. They're stuck with until 2017. That's more depressing than the last 2 night

Is it me,...or has basically every move cashman made the past 4-5 years failed??? Except Abreu and I do think Girardi is the man. Other than that every other move did not live up to expectations. & pretty much every move boston made worked out favorably to them. Even this year. Bay has had great games vs. the Yanks already and hit pretty clutch. Pudge? 0 for 85

Letting Orlando Cabrera go for Edgar Rentaria, who shit the bed.

Sending Rentaria to Atlanta and paying the majority of his salary only to see him be an all star there.

While we got Bay, we WAY over paid for him ... we're paying a majority of Manny's salary while he's in LA (granted, the sox were kind of forced into that one.)

    signing Lugo

    overpaying Drew.

    signing B.H. Kim

Crisp for Shoppach and Marte ... Shoppach will be the best player of that deal, just when we need someone to take over for Varitek

    Gagne, Gagne, Gagne ....

the sox have certianly had their share of fuckups.

ok, i can't take it anymore. i seriously think nocode's wife is posting with his username.

sure, there's plenty of games left. but we need to win coupled with boston losing. i don't think that combination is going to happen enough to cause any changes in the standings. along with a complete 180 on the yanks part, we need total collapses to happen to at least 2 other teams. can't see it happening. and personally, i don't think i want it to happen. why would i want to see them scrap and fight at the very end just to end up getting bounced in the wild card series. this bullshit of trying to eek in at the end of the season has to fucking stop. get it done all season long.

yeah, but you guys still get it done. it amazes me how many times the sox have been down in games only to come back in the 7th, 8th, or 9th to win it. anyone that's beating boston in the last 3 innings and starts to relax ends up getting bit on the ass. it's the complete opposite in the bronx. they get down by a run or two and that's it. it's kind of like the entire team folds. it's sickening.

i wish paul o'neill was still playing. we need someone with his passion in that dugout and on the field.

hey, does anyone know what the pay schedule is with ball players? my wife was asking how often do they get paid and i didn't have an answer for her. i mean, do they get a weekly check? monthly?

well, that's character in the clubhouse ... Varitek, Youkilis, Ortiz, Lowell ... on down the line ... fire, tenacity ... it's why Youkilis got in a scuffle with Manny and why Manny was dealt ... laziness, give up ... doesn't play in that club house ... ask Nomar. :D

I think Hughes should be called up for the next turn. I'm not sure if he should take Rasner or Ponson's spot yet.

as are the Twins and White Sox depending on who takes the division so the Sux arent a lock for the WC yet

gonna have to root Toronto since I was born there if it comes down to it in the end..fuck it..but by that point I'll be so into my Giants and Rangers I'l be hoping Spring training doesnt come around too soon :)

I can't believe the Yanks likely might not make the playoffs. :(
    that is so bogus!

you know what I think, I hate to say it but I think it's Tampa Bay's year. Every other team that's never won or hasn't won in eons got their shot (ie: the White Sox, the Red Sox)...it's Tampa Bay this year and then Speedy's Cubbies are going to get a shot.

And we are NEVER going to get to or win a WS as long as A-Rod is on the team. I've said it before in here and I believe he is a jinx on the entire team.
The year he leaves=next time we win WS

    And Girardi is so fired.

And somewhere in L.A. I bet Torre is laughing at this :/

firing Girardi would be such a wrong move ause seriously..who do they bring in?? He deserves at least one more yr with a full healthy and better lineup

and I really dont see Torre laughing..I think he might actually be feeling bad for his boys like Jete and Mo Jorge, etc for haviing to deal with this bullshit Torre always been and always be a class act

I wouldnt mind seeing the Cubbies finally ending their jinx tho..thatd be pretty exciting to witness as a part of history
