sorry kids i need to lighten my mood for a few
Well you already got an earlier wish. Huet gone for a half-empty bag of pucks, and a half-full water bottle last used by a player with mono.

About a week ago I remember some rumors between the Blues and Rangers that involved Schwarz-G, Rucinsky-F, and a prospect for Dubinsky and Montoya.

I'd cream all over my keyboard if we could pull that off.

They don't think he's going to resign in the summer (UFA) so they're getting something for him and going with Price/Halak.
Second round pick in 2009 though...may as well have kept him till the summertime.

i know price and the other kid halak

but why give him away for nothing?

i understand he might of walked but jeez u think somebody would of came in with a better offer?

I would trade Rucinsky right now for some stick tape.

I know, it doesn't make any sense.
Gainey is no fool, that's what makes it more confusing....cause it looks like such a foolish move....
  • I would gladly package Schwarz, McKee, and Rucinsky for Montoya.

  • by the way, the tsn commentators just mentioned hedberg to montreal as a throwaway line. probably just pure speculation, but if that happened, that would not be awful.

regardless of kolzig its a no-brainer for the caps

even if they cant sign him it was a good chance to take
  • definitely, that's a good move even if they don't make the playoffs this year. kolzig's not get any younger.

I heard that earlier in the day.

I am REALLY suprised by the Huet deal. Doesn't make a ton of sense at this point.

Sabres got more for Campbell than I was expecting, since he's a rental. I wish him well...good player, and a good guy. But, I don't think he's worth the $6mm/year he likely get. Hopefully Bernier can return to the point-per-game guy he was a couple years back.
