It's fast approaching and some deals could be made starting this weekend. What are some rumors you guys are hearing. I've heard Hossa to St. Louis for Jackman and a prospect.

Also, Tanguay for Ollie Jokinen

    Well i guess don't watch Sportsnet at 12, lol that Berger gets me everytime, at least i didn't say Corey Perry right lol.

    I heard the rumor bout Sundin and Ryan too. I also see the 'written in stone' stuff about Sundin staying put.

    I really wish Sundin would stick around w/ the Leafs. There's just something about staying w/ one team as long as he has.

    I don't think Anahiem would trade for him .....but if they did I could actually see them moving Perry before Ryan ....purely on the basis that I think they are going to be pressed to sign Perry with the salary cap constraints. ANd they may want to avoid lossing him to another team like they did wit Penner in the offseason.

    Well lets do it up Mats Sundin for Corey Perry:)then bring Mats Back at the start of next season and sign Perry:p wishful thinking, but i can dream

    That is going to be the stumbling block in the Mats deal. I would be suprised to see a GM pull the triger on a deal involing a prominet roster player and a first rounder if they can't work out a deal with Mats for a two year contract at the same time.

    Nashville payed a price last year for Forsberg, so Flectcher has to wait for the right deal or might as well keep him, he says he doesn't want to go anyway.

    If you are talking just a 1st rounder or a depth player I could see a deal getting done ......but if you are looking for a quality young roster player and a first rounder ....it would be extremely foolish without a contract extension for Mats. ....Now if another team hired JFJ as GM I could see the deal getting done! :p

    I don't think Boyle has even played a game this year because of that freak injury in the pre-season when the skate fell off the hook and slice his wrist.

    LOL! I heard from someone out of Nashville the Sergie may hang up the skates at the end of the year.

    The concsion he just had and the previous knee? injury this year to me means bad trade. Better to waive him and see if the Sharks pick him up ;)

    As a Flames fan I would love Jokinen on our team. Two monsters like him and Iggy on the top line would be a mess for defenders to deal with. I heard that rumour also, along with Sundin's name being thrown around with regards to a move to Calgary.

    The Flames actually tried to trade Tanguay to the Habs for Ryder earlier in the season but Tanguay used his no trade clause and stopped the trade. Maybe something is still in the works there
