Prolly cause Prospal went to the TB management with an over-inflated sense of self-worth and they were glad to be rid of him, hehehe

He only put those numbers cause he played with Vinny, but i guess if he went to pit and played with sid or gino he'd put up good numbers, but on philly who's he gonna play with.

Briere.... Prospal will be a nice stand in for Gagne for a few months on that top line.

As for Picard, he's solid D-man with a nice upside and he's young. I think its a nice deal for the Flyers, not giving up too much for a rental player. Plus, Prospal fills a current void and resigning him isn't a necessity.

On paper Ottawa really needs no one else.....
I don't want to lose a player I like to a 2 month rental, either...
Well tsn thinks you'd be better off getting Richards or Joikinen, simply because you need a centre lol, what do u think.

    Good take on it.
With no knowledge of Picard it looks like a giveaway by TB.

I'd rather the 0-playoff experience Jokinen then Richards, but he's going to the Canucks.

Who Richards or Joikinen going to the Canucks, i think Richards is what ur thinking, but i think right now dallas has the better deal than vancouver, but only time will tell.

No I mean Jokinin is going to the canucks.
Besides, rumor has it Saku and Olli don't like each other.

Gainey doesn't promise anything. Gainey said if a trade was made it'd be for an impact player.
If he doesn't get who he wants he won't settle for a trade just for the sake of making one, then the hyenas in MTL will be, yet again, calling for his head on a block.

The Canadiens have been dangling Mikhail Grabovski as the centerpiece to a possible Marian Hossa trade, although Kyle Chipchura also remains a possibility.

Don't trade Higgins, don't trade Higgins, don't trade Higgins.....

Habs have a pretty good pool of youth and prospects.

With Anaheim being a #1 cup contender (according to TSN) I wouldn't be surprised to see it happen.

I just heard that too (someone said it was on The Score).
  • Brad Richards to Dallas according to his agent.

I hope Jokinen finally leaves Florida behind since the organization really hasn't improved for years now. I think he should be a capable playoff player since he's always had leadership qualities and was called The Chief already as a junior even before he became The Great Pumpkinhead :D

Is Picard any good? Looks like Flyers got a steal there.

    He's Ok, nothing special

Guys in the Minors have passed him on depth charts (ie Parent)

Parent is up with the big club and he's only 20

How'd you like Briere winning the game amongst the arena of boos last night?
Looked like he almost lost the puck on the way in.

That was an awesome scene...couldn't have been more perfect

I thought for sure they were going to lose when they went to a shoot-out

I think he fooled himself with all those moves..LoL

He said going in he was thinking back-hand

Does he get booed in Philly too? (for lack of production, a lot of fans are putting the blame on him for the 10-game slide).

The only way it could have been better is if Biron took the 2nd shot in the SO and scored :D

I think Briere almost fooled himself and nearly lost the puck as he made his last move. As for the boos, yeah he gets booed... in Philly, as a big name player in the midst of a funk on team who hasn't won in 10 games you can expect that but he's handled it well and I really think the Carnival over the weekend helped show this team where they stand in this city. The fans love them win or lose but if they think there is a lack of effort, the fans will let them know.

I heard the Habs fans at the last game here against the Flyers... must be that deflated US dollar drawing them over the border this far south :)

They're following the team all over the place this year. Don't give out free merchandise at the door though.

Habs put up Ryder, Lapierre and Grabovski for Hossa. I wouldn't miss Lapierre for a second....
