Well we will lend Mats to you guys, just like the Canadiens lent us Gilmour a few years back, but poor Dougie got injured in his first game back with the blue and white, but he ended his carrer were he won a cup Calgary, Dave Lowry skating backwards bam into Doug that was it, So yeah you can give us one of the Kostisyn or whatever brothers lol, ill take Sergei because i watched him a few times with the London Knights:p

Sundin is obviously good, but there's no way I'd be happy with giving you Habs for a rental...
I was thinking before the game last night that Ryder was starting to get on track, so now I don't think I'd bite on the Tanguay trade either...

So how good do u think Sergei can be, i saw that he has 15 points in 30 games not to bad for a first year player, but he needs to inprove on that year by year, unlike Leafs prospects who never get better they stay about the same every year lol.

You nailed it right there. The kid's got a lot of potential but there's no guarantees.

The Habs and Sens have apparently already ordered gear for Hossa in the event they nab him....

I don't think I'm going to like this trade deadline.

psst i think Montreal would do better getting Sundin than Hossa, Hossa isn't great in the Playoffs.

I like my team the way it is. The players I'd get rid of no one wants anyway, and there's no way I'd want any of my young guns in blue and white jerseys.
I have faith in Bob the Builder to hate you too.

So say Calgary said Ryder Tanguay would you do it, i assume Ryder is the guy you'd like to see go.

    Nope, wouldn't do it.
Ryder is stinking it up this year (cept for lately) but I like him and would give him another chance. Tanguay is good but he's not good enough for me to accept a change, and he definitely isn't an 'impact' player.
From the availables - Hossa, Sundin, Vinny (even though he's not on the block), maybe Richards or Jokinin, or no one, and if you can't sign them for more than the end of this season, then no one - leave it as it is. So really Hossa or Sundin or no one.

Why not go for Malkin and Crosby for a fourth round draft pick, too?

im not saying tampa is gonna take it

the papers are just saying nyr is going after boyle but wont give up anything higher than b-level

will it happen...probably not with our offers

Well that rumor bathgate said about Kaberle might be true, i can't believe the Leafs would trade him, when NYI might bite on taking McCabe back, id rather say goodbye McCabe then goodbye Kaberle but thats imo

I don't think too many of the A-listed availables will go for b-rounders, not if last year's frenzy is anything to go by...

yeah that Kaberle rumour was true, well, at least his agent was contacted about waiving the no-trade to NYR

you can get alot more for Kaberle then McCabe, he is much cheaper, is better and will be better when his deal is up than with McCabe

    This trade deadline sucks.
None of it really matters to the Oil, spare setting Rollie adrift or someone making us an offer we can't refuse...

...and all the talk is about the Leafs. There are three hours a week permanently dedicated to them on national tv...can't it was till Saturday? :p
  • I really wish Sundin would stick around w/ the Leafs. There's just something about staying w/ one team as long as he has.
I'd love for Sundin to remain a Leaf. Ideally, he's rented out for the remainder of the season, wins the Cup (as long as he's not traded to Montreal or Ottawa ;) ), and then re-signs with the Leafs in the off-season.
No time to be void or save up on life. You got to spend it all.

    All quiet.
  • Rumor of Vitaly Vishnevski of the Devils going to the Blues for Jay McKee possibly.

Be a pretty meaningless trade on the Blues end except for freeing up a couple million dollars.

I'm thinking some lucky team will get Barrett Jackman tomorrow for a couple prospects or draft picks.

It's going to take one of the big names to get the flood gates open.
A few teams probably pissed about Sundin. An entire organization pissed about 5 players not waiving their no-trade clauses, hehe.

He's rumored to be a rental, but no solid info on him.

And another one down - Tanguay is staying in Cgy. Shaping up to be a snorefest as far as trade deadlines go.
