Hughes and Chamberlain showed promise. Let's hope this guy helps.

kcuf? is that some kind of new radio station west of the mississippi...

anyway back to business, the yankees can also thank old friend jeff weaver. weaver had won his previous four starts and was given a 5-0 lead after one inning only to blow it.

it looks the yankees miss a him next week but get Felix Hernandez on Monday, Horacio Ramirez and Jarrod Washburn for the series finale.

    The matchups are as follows:

GM 1 - Hernandez vs. Clemens 1:05 PM
    GM 2 - Ramirez vs. Wang 7:05
    GM 3 - Washburn vs. Hughes 7:05

good idea. Mussina is like 55 years old. the last time he was a dominant starter was in '89....

good win for the yanks last night though....i hope they make it close....

for the record, I am not a bitter sox fan as mentioned earlier. I was bitter after game 7 when Boone hit the dinger to win the game, but other than that, I am a pretty happy go lucky red sox fan. i do expect to win, and always have, but that is just being a fan. for years, we came up with the short end.

now, talk about the New York Giants, and I get bitter. real bitter. bitter when it comes to the coaching staff and their lack of all things that work (blitzing and going deep a few times a game and thge fact they should have been running tiki into the ground games 9-16). Not that anyone cares, but I may hate the Eagles more than the yankees. no, thats a fact. I hate the eagles.

Yanks catching sox is not going to happen. a round two meeting, possibly, but dont count on it. pitching wins short series.

and eli manning, i commented on your name before and meant it. cool name. the kid is going to be a superstar. he is stepping into his throws this year...we are off on a good foot...ha ha.

yankees offense hardly sucks, but their pitching does. besides, what we gonna yell for fun..."Yankees are bad and stuff and we dont like you".

Yankees suck...short and to the point.

  • Do you think A-Rod was hit by RiceCake on purpose last night?
I don't see a reason why that would've been the case?
If it was on purpose we have the right guy on the mound tonight

there's no reason to call someone that name
but heck no I don't think he did it on purpose.

yes, I think he did it on purpose. how you like them apples. he definately pitched him inside, way inside. this guy is no dummy. you pitch guys that are hot inside and get them the fuck off your plate (well, except Ortiz, he feasts off inside fastballs). Dice-K a very good pitcher who I expect to be even better next year. He has 24 decisions...getting their money worth anyway.

yea but pitching someone inside doesn't mean you intend to hit someone, it could've been the ball just got away.

daisuke did not hit arod on purpose. why would he hit him on purpose to load the bases with one out in the 1st inning?

my guess is roger gets lit up tonight. he never seems to pitch well against boston. in 2003 vs. the sox he was 2-3 with an 8.67 era.

well, i was wrong. he didn't have his best stuff with the 5 walks, but the sox bats never took advantage of the chances they had.

beckett pitched one hell of a gutsy game. he had runners on all night, gave up 13 hits and only had one bad inning (the 3rd). arod's hr was barely a hr, but it was a hr.

And they say A-Rod never hits homeruns that mean anything. It's now 4-3.
