I wouldnt know NYPJ1 if I puked my case on him. Seriously, I have no ill will towards anyone in here...well, maybe a few, but not this "cat". Just busting chops and getting mine busted back. I love Boston and I love New York. I have family and friends in both cities. I am a die hard NY Giants fan (this is Eli's year by the way) as well as a die hard Red Sox fan so I love both cities. NY is the capital of the world...that I give you. I have heard the boston sucks chants at Giants stadium before by the way.

That said, Pauly can go back to the deli and eat his pepperoni calzone, drink his spritzer, and i will go back to having my irish 7 course dinner....a six pack and a baked potato.

    peace.
Giants and Sox? Why don't you like the Patriots? Other than Tom Brady?
Yes, we are the capital of the world, thank you for recognizing that.
How about when Ed said Boston was louder at the Meadowlands show?! That got a TON of boos :)

I don't know, we've got nothing good to yell other than Boston sucks since the 1918 chant is done :( I used to say that one.

And it's Paulie not Pauly. And you don't get a calzone in a DELI! Scandalous.. yum, calzone....

whoa... are you serious??? i vaguely recall you commenting on my admittedly-terrible screen name at one point and i just assumed you were being sarcastic (and rightfully so).

i've only met one giants/sox fan in my life, and it was while waiting on line at tower records to get irving plaza tickets. maybe it was you... i can't imagine that there are too many pearl jam/red sox/giants fans out there.

but if you wanna talk about having family in both cities, i know all too well what that's about. my dad's family is from brooklyn, queens, and the bronx. my mom's family is from newton. family get-togethers can be quite painful. it always starts out as a massive sports-related argument and then gradually evolves into a comparison of italian vs. irish stereotypes, which is especially relevant and meaningful when you consider that my family is 100% jewish (the other northeastern ethnicity ;)).

frankly, i'm surprised that it took until august 28th of the baseball season for the stereotype comparison to show up on this board. that shows a remarkably progressive attitude from all of us. it must be the pearl jam influence. but i do feel like i have to correct you on two key issues, flannel shirt:
Pauly can go back to the deli and eat his pepperoni calzone

no no no... you're mixing up your jewish and italian stereotypes. if you wanna get something vaguely italian at a deli, you go for the chicken parm sandwich. everyone knows that! gosh...;)
I wish I had the weak tolerance of a new yorker...a ball game would cost me less if I could get drunk off 2 beers.

those are dangerous words, my friend... dangerous words. i am the undisputed king of all things alcohol-related. nobody beats this jewish kid at irish car bombs! :)

chicken parm and car bombs... tasty...

    JOHNNY!

    Boo ya!

My poor neighbors have no idea why I'm woo hooing. And they don't speak English very well! They must think I'm nuts!

Lets see what happens with Joba! I hope he can hold it down. Kay said it'll be Joba vs Big Papi

Manny left the game w/muscle spasms in his lower back

solid game all-around, good to see them win a close game, especially since they are 16-30 in games decided by two runs or fewer.

also it looks like johnny damon's legs are healthy again. evidence is his well over .300 batting average in the last month or so and the fact that he's extending swing well enough to hit the ball down the line in right, which is what a lefthanded hitter in yankee stadium is supposed to do more times than not.
