"The hardest thing in this world is to live in it."

    Buffy
    Season 5 Finale

We just finished watching this episode. Such a fantastic season, but a tough cliffhanger to deal with.

Such a clever headstone: She saved the world...a lot.

We'll start Season Six fairly soon and easily meet our goal of finishing the series within a year's time.

Is anyone reading the Season Eight comic books?

Nope. I don't have the $ to get them and I heard that ALL the issues have been SOLD OUT as soon as they hit the stands. :( But fear not, Wikipedia has a summary of what is going on in the Buffyverse. :)

we are down to the last two episodes of Buffy...I can't believe it is almost over....AGAIN! it is like going through the WHOLE series finale once again. oh well, at least we have Angel to start watching after this. :p

Really? I've been able to piece my collection together rather easily between a mid-summer trip to Nashville and finding the local comic book stores. I've even seen the comics for sale @ Borders near the magazines.

They're only $2.99 per issue (except for the variant cover we bought as a collectible). Hope you can find the cash to get them, if that's important to you.

We're nearing the end of Season Six. Just saw Normal Again today. I remember watching that one for the first time years ago. I actually thought Buffy might choose to give-in to the fantasy of being in the institution.

It's such an unusual episode in the series--unlike any of the others I can recall. Plays like a Hitchcock or Stephen King movie in several scenes.

I need to get all those DVD's at some point and start watching all the seasons again, it sucks that the show is not on one of the tv cable channels at night anymore.

For all the Angel fans, the show David Boreanaz is on, Bones, is pretty good, and it keeps improving now in it's third season.
I know someday you will have a beautiful Life

Season 6 is my personal favorite. I've definitely watched it the most compared to the other seasons. The troika completely crack me up and you can't beat the angst of Spike and Buffy. It had Once More, With Feeling, Tabula Rasa ("Randy Giles? You might as well call me horny Giles, or desperate for a shag Giles!") and the best season cliffhanger ever.

    I agree - I also love Season 6! :)

Well, except for the whole almost rape thing...

It's been a while since I watched Buffy and Angel. I think it's time to get my DVDs out again!

oooo, THANKS for posting that. Not bad for the price. :) I was SO kicking myself for not getting the comic books, but it is a good thing that Joss made a graphic novel of the first 5 issues!! :D

Just wanted to add that we're a dozen eps or so away from finishing the series in a year's time. We may have to buckle down and watch several in a row over the Christmas/holiday slowdown, but we'll get there.

Has anyone else noticed the increasing amounts of Buffy actors appearing on Grey's Anatomy since Marti Noxon became exec producer?

    Principal Wood
    Oz
    Halfrek

Who's next? Perhaps a Glory sighting? Or maybe Xander will show up and sleep with someone in the on-call room?

Not too long ago, I read that Joss Whedon had intended to reveal one of his major characters on Buffy as gay all along. However, he didn't decide that it would be Willow or Xander until a few seasons into the series.

Thought that was interesting and made me want to watch the first three seasons through a different lens.
