Ah the puppet episode!!! HOW COOL WAS THAT???!! :D
If you like interesting puppets, you should get the movie Meet the Feebles.
It's like an R rated Muppets. It's awesome!! :D It was written and directed by Peter Jackson of Lord Of The Rings fame. It's old. 1989 I think, but it's well worth a look. :) Very twisted.

i'll be sure to watch that soon. :)

ive seen Meet the Feebles. :) talk about twisted, but funny :p my ex would NOT stop talking about, so i watched it. :p

did anyone seen the Angel finale? what the HELL happened?!

I haven't seem Meet the Feebles in years! I must borrow it from my brother and re familiarize myself, but it sure was twisted and funny as from what I remember. Sounds like your ex and my brother would have a lot to talk about!!! ;):D

So yeah, all this Buffy and Angel talk has got me needing to drag them out and refresh my memory, but from what I remember the finale of both Buffy and Angel where disappointing and confusing.

What did happen in the Angel finale again? I just remember being sad it was over and feeling things were unresolved.

I thought the Buffy finale was great! Angel, it did leave me feeling confused  In the Angel finale, (i forgot part of the plotline) Angel and the gang had to save the world from demons (i believe). All I remember was that Wesley died; Angel, Spike, and Gunn were standing by each other while the demons came down and that is how the series ended. It left me feeling uneasy on what happened after that...'does it mean that all 3 of them died as well?' or 'did they manage to save the world?'

I read somewhere that Joss wanted to continue on with Angel, but stupid WB cancelled it before Joss could finish the storyline  gah!!

maybe answers to those questions will be in the season 8 comic that he's writing right now.

yeah i hope so. I know he is down writing a new movie verison of Buffy and he wants Sarah and David to come out, but he thinks that highly unlikely they will do it since now they are big stars :) But i DO hope that someday we'll see a Buffy movie once again. :D

I hear the comic book is coming out in the coming weeks.

Awesome shows! All my friends raz me about Buffy. I haven't seen too many eps of Angel, but I just bought the entire series on DVD and have started watching S1.

There are so many great eps, I don't know if I could possibly pick a fave.

when giles bust through the door of the magic shop to confront evil willow and said something like, "not if i have anything to say about it"

that was the best moment in the series (or the musical)

eh, sarah isn't doing anything these days. her career post-buffy has been really disappointing. she definitely SHOULD do it. david just has his tv show, surely he could make a movie too. but they are a little old now, and david especially is starting to show his age, so i'm not sure how well they could pull it off. it'd be interesting to see, for sure.

The finale of Angel ended with Angel, Spike, Gunn (bleeding to death probably) and Illyria (the thing that possessed Fred) in the alley, with an army of demons coming at them. And here's the last bit of dialog:

    Gunn: Any word on Wes?
Illyria: Wesley's dead. I'm feeling grief for him. I can't seem to control it. I wish to do more violence.
Spike: Well, wishes just happen to be horses today.
    Angel: Among other things.
Gunn: You take the 30,000 on the left.
Illyria: You're fading. You'll last 10 minutes at best.
Gunn: Then let's make it memorable.
Spike: In terms of a plan?
    Angel: We fight.
    Spike: Bit more specific.
Angel: Well, personally, I kind of want to slay the dragon. Let's get to work.

I thought the ending was cool. Kind of summed up the whole point of the show. Its not about winning or losing, its about fighting the good fight, and the "Let's get to work!" was the perfect way to say it.

*raises hand* my name is Jenny, and I'm a Buffy-a-holic.

I miss this show so much. Our friends used to know NEVER CALL ON TUESDAY NIGHT AT 8:00 because we would never answer the phone.

I loved Cordelia. She was so oblivious to what was going on for so many seasons. and probably Xander. He had the best dialog.

Probably my favorite episode was...aw, hell....I really have a hard time narrowing it down...I liked the Halloween one where Xander was Mr. Military guy. Everyone was the exact opposite of their personality.

Also, remember the one, where they were all freaked out about this totally awful demon coming the whole episode was built around them searching for it. At the end, he was like 6 inches tall and someone stepped on him and squashed him like a bug. I friggin died laughing.

I remember that episode...buffy was a lady in distress and Willow was a ghost. That was TOO funny! :p

that demon one was TOO funny as well....partically at the end. :p

I love this scene from Bad Eggs (season 2.12 episode)

Xander: "We'll have to teach our eggs Christian values."
    Willow: "But mine's Jewish!"
Xander: "Then teach it that Dreidel song."

YAY Buffy nerds united. I just love this. :D

Meddledeal and I just finished re-watching the first 4 episodes of Season 6. I can't believe we only have 1 more season left! I gotta say I personally thought the show kept getting better. I love these last 2 seasons so much!! The deeper development of the characters (and of BUFFY & SPIKE'S relationship of course) is amazing. I just love it all. I've always found these last ones extra enticing. *sigh* Ah Spikey. He especially shines in these final 2 seasons. :o

anotherclone! The no phone on TUES! HA! Exactly. That is awesome. I love it. We're so hardcore.
    :D

And that Halloween episode was hilarious. Wasn't that when Anya was the bunny too? ahah. Her and her fear of bunnies!! Yeah and Buffy as the poor pretty lady in distress. That's right. Willow

Think I was just so disappointed it was over that no ending would have been satisfactory!! I'll have to watch it again.

I gotta get through the first couple of seasons of Buffy again so I can get on to season 1 of Angel in it's context.
I'd forgotten about Wesley dying. Aaarghh!! :(
I think Joss was trying to leave the door open in case it was resurrected.
I think there was a lot of talk and anger amongst fans at the time. I thought they tried to get it picked up by another network, so maybe he was writing it with that in mind.

Anyway, this whole thread has inspired me to get watching. So I've caught up all the random video tapes I had lying about. I even found an episode of the OC I'd missed!

So I'm gonna get onto it tomorrow. Might have a Buffy fest on the couch in my jimmy jams. :) And munch on Easter eggs!!! :D

    I'll report back!!

    Happy Easter. :)

That was a great episode. Such a big build up and it turns out to be a little mini demon. I've actually made people watch that episode just so I could laugh at their reaction when the little demon comes out.

My wife is watching the Buffy series for the first time. We're finishing Season Three in the near future.

I love how she gets all these questions about characters, situations, dialogue, etc. She's really getting into, but I refuse to ruin the plot of future seasons and episodes. When I watched it the first time, I had to wait a whole week to get the next set of answers. All she has to do is finish one episode and click a couple of buttons on the remote!

We watched The Prom yesterday. I love the scene where they honor Buffy and give her an award as Class Protector. That always makes me smile.

I love these shows! BtVS had three Halloween episodes - seasons 2, 4, and 6. Season 2's "Halloween" had Buffy as a lady in distress, Willow as a ghost, Xander as a soldier. Season 4's "Fear, Itself" had Anya as a bunny and the little fear demon that Xander taunts (upon which Giles chastises him for said taunting...I think he says it's tacky). Season 6's "All the Way" has Dawn and her friend Janice going out on dates with guys who turn out to be vampires.

My favorite seasons of BtVS are 2 and 3. I'm not sure which is my favorite season of Angel - probably whatever I'm watching as long as it's not season 4.

Willow is my favorite character in the Buffyverse. I think Alyson Hannigan is a great actress and she played a wide variety of material over the course of the show.

I'm also a Browncoat and think Firefly and Serenity were terrific.

The new show Drive starts on FOX this Sunday. It stars Nathan Fillion from Firefly, Buffy, and Serenity and also includes Amy Acker from Angel and Richard Brooks from Firefly. It was created by Tim Minear who was a writer/producer on Angel and Firefly.

There have been showings of "Once More With Feeling" in multiple cities for some time now. I've seen it twice. Once it was paired with the unaired Buffy pilot and once it was with "Doppelgangland."

The Buffy Season 8 comics have started to come out. The first 2 have been released. I have #1 and it's a good start. I have #2 coming and am looking forward to it.

Another nerd here. When they started to air Buffy on German TV (Austrian never aired it) it was on Saturday at 5pm, so they cut up to 15 minutes, so the kiddies wouldn't get freaked out and the translation didn't measure up to the original in any way. I didn't know how Jenny Calendar (?) died until I got my mitts on the us video tapes.

I'm also one of those who love Hush and Once More With Feeling. I also loved the lawyers in Angel and the scene where Spike stands on the roof of a building and 'dubs' Angel who just saved a woman, that was hilarious. Spike quoting Nirvana when he's trying to get his soul back wasn't bad either.

yeah Jeanie!! :D The silent episode was pretty damn good. I don't know how they pulled it off. I believe the show got an emmy for best writing in that episode. Josh writes great plotlines, even though at first, it may sound impossible, but he always manages to pull it off. :) I am also a HUGE fan of his! I did manage to see an episode of Firefly when it first came out on FOX, but at the time, i was in high school, and it usually aired during the evening when I was away on football games for the band. :/ I need to re-check it out. :) thanks for the suggestion girl :D

damn, I need to see ALL of the Angel episodes as well. I loved it that at the last season, they brought in Spike to join Angel's group. Talk about great dynamics there. one of my favorite Angel episodes was when he got turned into a puppet. He looked cute as a puppet! :p I loved it when Spike came into his office, and Angel was sitting in the chair, and turns his chair around to face Spike, and Spike goes, 'you're a BLOODY puppet!' and starts mocking and laughing at him. Then, Angel, the puppet, flies from his chair and starts beating up Spike :p

Thank you, thank you, thank you !!!
I'm sitting her with teh shits at work on a MOnday morning, and you just made me laugh out loud. Just what I needed to lift the clouod !!
Buffy and Angel night were an institution with us for years, and we have just re-instated them, buying the DVD sets for both. It was on at crap times here in Oz for some reason, and I didn't realise how many episodes I had missed.
One of my favourites was then Anya first appeared and granted Cordy's wish, "I wish Buffy Summers had never come to Sunnydale", and we get to see Willow as hot evil vampire Willow !! Sooooooooooo cool !!

Yeah Jeanie. Drive's a pretty good show.

Amber Benson has been in Supernatural, and I think Amy Acker has too. Besides How I Met Your Mother I don't know of a show that somebody from Buffy/Angelverse is in on a regular basis. Nicholas Brendon's show Kitchen Confidential was canceled. :( Oh wait, the dude who played Principal Wood is now on 24. And the dude who was Riley's best bud is in Heroes too. Clea Duvall was in Heroes for a while too. She played inviso-girl Marcie season 1.

OZ why has no one mentioned daniel osborne. the best reason for being bitten by a werewolf i can think of.
when he gave willow the witch pez dispenser. so so cool. :D:D

final episode series one when angel goes to revive buffy. he turns and says, 'i have no breath' and its up to xander to save her. brilliant!!!!!

the doppelganger episode with xander's other self. the way he kept playing with that coin from which we were to deduce that these two xanders were two sides of the same coin.

giles as a fyarl demon. priceless.

when angelus(love him!!!) kills jenny and giles goes after him in a rage. and buffy goe to stop him and tell giles she can't do it without him. and she's crying. and giles is crying. and i'm crying in my hot chocolate.

Buffy: What are you doing here?
    Spike: I...
    Buffy: Five words.
Spike: [counts on his fingers] Out... for... a... walk.
    Spike: [pause] ... bitch!

Willow: I'll give Xander a call. What's his number? Oh, yeah, 1-800-I'm-Dating-A-Skanky-Ho.
    Buffy: Meow.
Willow: Really? Thanks. I've never gotten a "meow" before.

Anya: Men like sports. I'm sure of it.
Xander: Yes. Men like sports. Men watch the action movie, they eat of the beef, and they enjoy to look at the bosoms. A thousand years of avenging our wrongs, and that's all you've learned?

Anya: Look, I know you find me attractive. I've seen you looking at my breasts.
Xander: Nothing personal, but when a guy does that, it just means his eyes are open.

Oz: So, do you steal weapons from the Army often?
Willow: Well, we don't get cable, so we have to make our own fun.

Xander: Dammit. You know what? I'm sick of this. I'm tired of being the guy who eats insects and gets the funny syphilis. As of this moment, it's over. I'm through being everybody's butt-monkey.
    Buffy: Check. No more butt-monkey.

Anya: Will you still make me waffles when we're married?
Xander: No, I'll only make them for myself, but by California law, you will own half of them.

Xander: Excuse me? Who made you the boss of the group?
    Anya: You did.
Tara: You said Willow should be boss.
Anya: And then you said "let's vote", and it was unanimous...
Tara: ...and then you made her this little plaque, that said "Boss of Us", you put little sparkles on it...

Amy Acker was in Episode 3 of season 1 of Supernatural - Amber Benson was in Ep. 3 of season 2. Strange, eh? ;-)

I watch Anthony Head every week in 'Little Britain' as the British Prime Minister :D
