It would actually shock me if Ortiz is NOT on the list. I posted the pics of him as a Twin, where he's about 160 pounds. Now check out his HR totals, starting with 2000

    AB HR
    415 10
    303 18
    412 20
    448 31
    582 41
    601 47
    558 54

and now his knee is falling apart, just like McGwire's and Giambis

You make a good argument, but in 1997 when that picture was taken he hit 31 home runs in 539 at bats in the minors. He was hurt in 98 and in 99 he hit 30 home runs in 476 at bats. You could easily argue that he hard a hard time adjusting to the major leagues because the Twins wanted him to focus more on playing small ball and the fact he wasn't an everyday player for his power numbers being low the first few seasons in the majors.

Pretty well-mixed between average and great players. That doesn't make much of a case against steroid use. Steroids don't hit the ball for ya.

About 75% of the time steriods are used to recover from working out and to recover from injuries quicker....NOT to get bigger and stronger necessarily.

That's why you see guys on the list who aren't in the best of shape....or would be considered powerful men. They got injured, took some roids, and were back on the field 4 days after shoulder surgery.

I don't know why everyone thinks the Mitchell report is the definitive yes or no on some of these guys.
There are reports that the Mitchell crew got ahold of many agents and players and requested to speak with them, then when the player wanted to know what for the investigators would not tell them. That is a shady investigation if you ask me.
Second of all the investigation is going to have a lot to prove in terms of how accurate their information is. They were talking on espn radio this morning that some guys may be implicated because at one point in their careers they wrote checks to Radomski. The Mitchell investigation asked players about checks they had written as much as 10 years ago and they didn't remember. It is commonplace in base for players to buy meals and that nature for their teamates and clubhouse attendants to go pick them up. Some guys could get implicated in this because they wrote a check for this ass jack to pick up pizza for the team 10 years ago.
I'm skeptical about this report for sure. I'm sure many of the people on the list did do roids, but they are going to have to cover how they found it pretty clearly.
I was taught a month ago to bide my time and take it slow, but then I learned just yesterday to rush and never waste a day. Now I'm convinced the whole day long that all I've learned is always wrong. Things are true that I forget, but no one taught that to me yet

Now it doesn't matter anymore does it?

You can't take HRs away from Bonds when he faced pitchers that were doing steroids also.

This needs to go away before it destroys the game any further. It's probably too late.

I've criticized Bonds and Sosa and Mac for years but now, I'm taking it all back. It just doesn't fucking matter now does it?

Let the records stand. It's now a moot point.

Doesn't our government have other issues more relevant to oversee?

For each dollar spent compiling this useless bullshit, a little child died of a curable disease. Good to see where the country's priorities are.

And really, who gives a fuck? For the most part, this stuff wasn't illegal , according to baseball, at the time they were using it. Even if it was used by some of these players this fucking morning, are they truly commiting a crime? Hardly. Why don't you motherfuckers go prosecute a rapist or a serial killer. Maybe do something useful.

That's my take on steroids. I say it should be required. I wanna see 700 foot homeruns and astronomical scoring. Fuck a bunch of 1-0 games. That shit's for Tee-Ball.

Fuck baseball for that matter. Boring ass sissy game.

this is Radomski and Grimsley ... every clubhouse has a guy like this.

What is interesting, it appears that that the 5%+ that failed the MLB tests years ago are not included here.
I don't want to be hostile. I don't want to be dismal. But I don't want to rot in an apathetic existance either.

I found out that list has been being passed around the internet since last night. Whoever started it should be ashamed for passing that information out. It does harm the image of those it mentioned that are not really in the report.

Whoever put that together should be held accountable.
