Many, acctually it's all of the permenent Security Council member minus the US, criticize israel's retalitory actions. That does not equate to the Un hating Israel. No member of the Security Council has ever stated that israel does not have the right to defend itself from terrorism but they have often been critical of the methods that the Israeli government/military employes in doing so. Maybe you believe that launching missles or bombing an aprtment complex killing dozens of innocent people in order to kill one Hamas leader is acceptable but most people do not. In the opinions of many that is terrorism if not barbaric at the least. The US is the only nation that condones this type of behavior from Israel by not condemning it. The UN does not hate Israel they merely disaprove of their actions. Stop believing all the bullshit that is fed to us about israel being this poor defenseless nation with only one friend in this big bad world.

great answer. israel matters to america becos americans think israel matters. can't argue with that logic. "it just does!" this is what is called in any logical or intellectual circles a circular argument. you use your premise as proof that your conclusion is inevitably true. you attempt to prove your conclusion by using your conclusion as evidence. you say israel matters becos people think israel matters. that is not an answer. why people think israel matters what i'm after. becos i don't see why and wonder if i'm missing something. but you're not helping much in terms of showing me any reason to think israel's existence affects america. you canot offer your own reasons as to why israel matter to you, nor any reasons americans in general think israel's existence matters.

america and many americans support Israel's right to have a country of their own.

I can sit and do nothing but reply "why" to your posts but we wouldnt get very far would we.. fuck dude, you really sound like a 11 year kid with zero education. pull it together.

no you have not answered why. americans could support palestine and their right to have a country of their own. why do we choose israel over them? why do we care which occurs? this is the question i keep asking. becos at present, i don't see what difference it makes and the only "asnwer" you give me is "it just does, ok?". clearly, many people do think it makes a difference, you included. i ask why becos i wonder if i may be missing something.

I dislike any group, country person or whatever thay hurts another, unless in self defense.

Israel has given the world enough reason to dislike her actions. the only reason someone would support israel so much so blindly is because they feel the life of an israeli is worth more than that of another.

If the avg american understood where all those tax dollars go, if the avg american put it's apathy aside and for one second cared about the truth. I'm confident that most support for israel would simply fade away.

I'm not defending them I'm just merely stating that it's non of my fucking business how they run their country. I explained the process for those that where/still are unclear. If the Ayatollah wants to let some douchebag loud mouth be the spokesman for his country so fucking be it. As an American who has a loud mouth douche bag president representing my country I'm really not in a place to criticize.

Israel does'nt target civilians? well with the body count, I can only conclude that israelis can't aim or just don't care if they happen to kill innocents.

They do actually target innocents to kill from time to time.

But they also target innocents daily with mental warfare at their every move to and from work, school, family visits, access to food and medicine, clean water etc..etc..

Any torture expert will attest that mental punishment is far more damaging than physical.

They nurture the loathing and resistance to the breaking point.

Actually if you had any idea about what you are talking about you would know that the UN has always condemned Hamas and Hezbollah for their attacks on Israeli civilians. The UN has always pressured the Palestian government to make better attempts at weeding out militant elements from Palestine. The UN even offered to intervene during the Israeli Lebanon War. Maybe you should take the time to further your knowledge on the issue before looking foolish by posting incorrect statements and utter jibberish.

How where they anti-Israel? They where condemning Israel for invading another nation who had no responsibility at all in the taking of their troops. They blocked lebanese ports, destroyed Lebanese infastructure, killed innocent Lebonese civilians, weakened the Lebonese government. You don't think that these actions deserve condemnation. If so you are as hearless and barbaric as the terrorist you deem evil. Israel's actions last summer deserved condemnation and after much hestiation even the US government joined in along with the rest of the Security Council. So I guess that makes our government a piece of piss as well. You know absolutely nothing about the issue except what the talking pundits tell you. Truely sad that the majority of people in this country are in the same boat as you.

It's a fact. You don't have to know a bunch of them to know. Look it up for yourself.

You have a warped interpretation of what humane is. Think about picking up pieces of your parents shattered heads, or your brothers and sisters splattered guts, or your children's twisted and bloody limbs from the rubble of your house if you think bombs are so great. You gotta scoop them all up into a bag so you can bury them. Lovely.

Oh, and terrorism is a tactical response of desperation to an imposing, and overwhelming threat... not a race of people.

so why should canada exist or mexico or france or china? it just does. Unlike most countries in the Middle East, Israel is a liberal democracy and a developed country. In the region, Israel is the least corrupt, and the most progressive in terms of freedom of the press, economic competition, and human development.

no you have not answered why. americans could support palestine and their right to have a country of their own. why do we choose israel over them? why do we care which occurs? this is the question i keep asking. becos at present, i don't see what difference it makes and the only "asnwer" you give me is "it just does, ok?". clearly, many people do think it makes a difference, you included. i ask why becos i wonder if i may be missing something.

we do support palestine's right to exist. bush in particular has been pushing for a 2 state solution. sure they lean towards Israel, but hopefully something will be worked out in terms of actual borders in the near future.
