You think making a choice, is that easy?
    Particularly abortion?

Give people some faith. Most put some thought into their choices.

Yes and my point is that even were it made illegal as you seem to wish it wouldn't stop women having abortions - it would just mean many of them would get physically injured in the process and make what for most women is already a psychologically harrowing experience even worse.

Personally I am against abortion on ethical grounds - but don't belive that ethical stance should be enforced on the many women who have legitimate and irreconcilable reasons for feeling that they just cannot carry a child to term.

I find it amazing that so many of you within the anti-abortionist lobby cry out in apparent sympathy for unborn baby's who during early stages of their development are incapable of experiencing no feelings or sensations and lack any form of sentience or self-awareness (they are alive only in a purely biological sense of the word).......and yet you appear to have such a callous disregard for the welfare of the fully formed human being who can experience all of the pain and fear of which their unborn feotus is incapable.

I'm catholic and pro-choice - Yea for me!!!!!!

I am woman by Helen Reddy:

I am woman, hear me roar
In numbers too big to ignore
And I know too much to go back an' pretend
'cause I've heard it all before
And I've been down there on the floor
No one's ever gonna keep me down again

    CHORUS
    Oh yes I am wise
But it's wisdom born of pain
    Yes, I've paid the price
But look how much I gained
If I have to, I can do anything
    I am strong (strong)
    I am invincible (invincible)
    I am woman
You can bend but never break me
'cause it only serves to make me
More determined to achieve my final goal
And I come back even stronger
    Not a novice any longer
'cause you've deepened the conviction in my soul

    CHORUS

I am woman watch me grow
See me standing toe to toe
As I spread my lovin' arms across the land
    But I'm still an embryo
With a long long way to go
Until I make my brother understand

    Oh yes I am wise
But it's wisdom born of pain
    Yes, I've paid the price
But look how much I gained
If I have to I can face anything
    I am strong (strong)
    I am invincible (invincible)
    I am woman
    Oh, I am woman
    I am invincible
    I am strong

    FADE
    I am woman
    I am invincible
    I am strong
    I am woman

Is Catholicism really a monotheistical religion?

First of all you worship the holy 'trinity' - the father, the son and the Holy Ghost - but that's circumvented by a bit of Orwellian Doublethink whereby you believe they're all the same person (if that's so and he also is God incarnate I always thought it strange that Jesus was reported to have said 'My God why have you forsaken me' when he was on the Cross).

And dosn't the reverence for the Virgin Mary rival that for Jesus/God (or should I say Jesod). Most Catholic churches contain just as many 'idols' of her as they as they do of Jesus.

Then you've got all of the Saints (more of whom are added to the Pantheon each year as and when it suits the political interests of the vatican to do so). And many of these have their own areas of expertise and are individually prayed to for their own particular reasons.

I know strictly speaking they're not seen as God's - but in practice isn't this polytheism in all but name?

I guess 1,000 imaginary friends are better than one.

    1. Trinity - It's a concept of The Father, the Son, & The Holy Spirit all being one of the same entity. I understand why it sounds contradictory, but to Christians they are of the same.

    2. Catholics honor Mary, but do not worship her. God choose her to bear Christ, so they honor her. I honor my mom, but do not worship her. Catholics just take that concept to a much higher level.

    3. From my understanding (I am not Catholic but have been involved with Catholics), praying to the saints is more like askign them to pray for you in heaven. You know how the Priest will ask the Congregation to pray for this or that? Same thing. Perhaps someone more schooled can chip in.

So in summary, Holy Trinity = God and God is worshipped. Saints are merely honored and asked to pray for us. Not polytheistic.

Come on - no one wants that. If abortion was illegal, I know I would make an effort (maybe through donations) to make sure the woman had somewhere to go and deliver the child. Abortion is just as bad for the woman as it is for the baby.

Hahaha, you expect a man to cram one of those things up his ass? So liberal men ARE homosexuals? :D

Any man who would find a way to use one of those things on himself is a flamer, plain and simple. The anus is meant for exit, not entry. Like, how awful would it be to be hooking up with some chick and she pulls that shit out and says to cram it up your pooper.

    That's feminism for ya...

it's just a euphemism. 'insert' any sex toy to replace 'candlestick'.

  • I think thats a load of rubbish!!

I'm not sure how i feel about aborstion but i do know that it is ever womans choice whether they want it or not and that it should be there if they need it! I would never myself but thats my choice and i think that if i did happen to get pregant at my age (25) then its time for me to grow up and deal with the decisions i have made! But you know it might be different for other people!

And to get to my point its everyone's choice no matter what religion you our!

this is a pretty good summary. it's a weird doctrine and not easy to put in layman's terms.
