Kramer from Seinfeld outdoes Mel Gibson

While Michael Richards, aka Kramer, made a living out of playing a character who was nuts, this video goes above above and beyond anything you ever saw in a Seinfeld episode - not in a funny/good way though. Mel Gibson will now have to come up with a new routine to top this performance.

Taken from: http://www.tmz.com
"WARNING: WHAT YOU ARE ABOUT TO SEE IS PROFANE AND RACIAL

Michael Richards exploded in anger as he performed at a famous L.A. comedy club last Friday, hurling racial epithets that left the crowd gasping, and TMZ has obtained exclusive video of the ugly incident.

Richards, who played the wacky Cosmo Kramer on the hit TV show "Seinfeld," appeared onstage at the Laugh Factory in West Hollywood. Kyle Doss, an African-American, told TMZ he and some friends were in the cheap seats and he was playfully heckling Richards when suddenly, the comedian lost it.

The camera started rolling just as Richards began his attack, screaming at one of the men, "Fifty years ago we'd have you upside down with a f***ing fork up your ass."

Richards continued, "You can talk, you can talk, you're brave now motherf**ker. Throw his ass out. He's a nigger! He's a nigger! He's a nigger! A nigger, look, there's a nigger!"

The crowd is visibly and audibly confused and upset. Richards responds by saying, "They're going to arrest me for calling a black man a nigger."

One of the men who was the object of Richard's tirade was outraged, shouting back "That's un-f***ing called for, ain't necessary."

After the three-minute tirade, it appears the majority of the audience members got up and left in disgust."

Attempts to reach Richards' reps were unsuccessful."

That's shocking, disappointing and very uncalled for.

(I also think heckling a comedian is uncalled for as well, but not as serious)

Yeah heckling is bad, I would also be pretty upset but man, that was just really really disappointing.

but also sad because people laughed at him saying that the first few times.

If you are going to see Tenacious D on tour and the comedian, 'Neil Hamburger' is the opening act... you are going to re-think that anti-heckling stance.

i don't think so. its a taboo word, he knew what he was doing.

he could have called them "dumb motherfuckers" or had security escort them out. he completely flipped out and said what he said repeatedly.

I know. The use of that word is the one time a racist comment can be called out as racist and nobody says "PC". In other words, I was being sarcastic.

As for Cosmo (Kramer that is, not our beloved Moving Train poster). What a clown. His career (which apparently still existed) is in trouble. Thank goodness for the royalities, hey Michael?

    *Shameless Seinfeld reference*

Richards should have just found out where this guy works and gone to his place of employment and heckeld him.

How is this any different from what black and hispanic comedians and entertainers say and do with their "white/Caucasian " material?

I think Michael Richards just proved a very profound point.

I want to see all you overly-sensitive, vomit-inducing, over-the-top PCers get completely outraged next time a black entertainer....Black Rapper..... Black Comedian.......spits out racist/racial insults. I want to see you slam and denigrate the Black entertainers......as you are Michael Richards.

its reported that the hecklers told him he wasn't funny.

after he goes off on them and called them n's, they called him a "cracker".

it wasn't part of his bit. not that i'd defend it if it were part of his bit, but he said it out of anger.

i don't tolerate any form or racism.

    are you justifying his behavior?

Good Seinfeld reference. That would have been the better solution. This was much worse than Kramer riding in the cab with the cigar store indian.

Thanks...I was wondering if he was prompted...though it'd still be wrong in my opinion.

The double standard here is glaring however.

Ditto. A comedian can expect to be heckled and while it is ok to comment back that the person in the crowd is a jack ass or that he should shut up, this outburst serves as an example of blatant racism. People like Carlos Mencia or Dave Chapelle used racial slurs in a way that walked the line between racism and poking fun at stereotypes and while such humor could be questioned or objected to, what Michael Richards did in response to the hecklers cannot be defended.

It would be one thing if he actually had a bit that involved racial stereotypes and he wanted to use the N word, but there was nothing of the sort here. Just because the heclkers happened to be black does not warrant calling them what he did multiple times. These comments were not made in the context of a stand-up routine and thus really cannot be justified as a result. I won't argue that a double standard exists when using the N word, but a white performer in the proper context could use the word and get by with it. Just yelling the word for no reason though is unjustified.

Apparently the black guy isn't much above the very same thing, as Michael Richards, which Infuriated him (the black guy). Proven by his "cracker" slur.

As always with the overly-sensitive, vomit-inducing, over-the-top PCers .......black, hispanic (or anyone) can spit out racist slurs and concepts on a regular basis, and that's okay. A white guy does it and it's the end of the world.

Where's Janet Jackson's nipple when the country needs another distraction?

no i'm not justifying it, thats why i said "i don't tolerate any form of racism".

i don't think kramer was trying to prove a point here. who knows what he thought he was doing.

Dave Chapelle is a HUGE racist and routinely goes way overboard. He hates white people.

this is what i dont get, why would you have to abbreviate nigger and NOT cracker!
i dont understand why blacks get so offender when people call them nigger, im pretty sure they know what they are by then

if a black calls a white a cracker, we dont get all upset and flip out

    stop being so fucking sensitive!

BTW, i am not racist, many of my friends are black

oh, and how would you like it if someone came down to your work and heckled you??????(seinfeld remark)
they call them fingers, but i never see them fing. oh, there they go

I find it commical that someone that uses the phrase "-sensitive, vomit-inducing, over-the-top PCers" seems to be offended by black entertainers using racial humor. If you are not a PCer than why do you care what they say?

And if one starts screaming at a white fan and calling him a cracker, etc., it is the same damn thing. If one says "black people have cool names like "Marquies and white people have boring names like Bob" that is not even close to the same thing. I can even grant you that there is a double standard in pointing out amusing little stereotypes, but I don't think many people condone the black equivalent of what richards did.

I find it comical you assume I'm sensitive to black entertainers and their racist material. I certainly can identify and acknowledge their material as racist material, without ever getting upset about it. Maybe you are not capable of such distinctions, hence why you can only see it in black and white (pun intended):D

Certainly, I can point out and identify the dispicable double-standard and hypocrisy.

Yes, the overly-PC abbreviate nigger and spell out cracker. Because it's okay to use cracker, but not nigger:rolleyes:
