I believe that humans need to evolve above and beyond these silly little fantasies, and dangerous divisions, and embrace the good and creative aspects of all cultures.

I think Patriotism/Nationalism are bad concepts that I wish would go away.
Here's the thing, though: There are plenty of people who will say that they are against Patriotism, but will be the first ones to whine about the loss of jobs to another part of the world. I've got news for them - that's Patriotism. Unless it is their very own job, what does it matter if someone 100 miles away has it or someone thousands of miles away?
Because usually when jobs are moved it's so the company can move to a country with no employment law, where they can treat the workers like shit, make them work long weeks for penuts and sack them without needing a reason. Hope that helps.

Not to be picky about proper grammer and spelling, god known I'm not the greatest speller, but I believe you should be able to at least spell flag correctly before you go shooting people for desecrating yours.

National borders in the main surely represent only one hegemonic power having layed down its marker. But I dont feel all nationalist feeling is harmful(take sporting events for example), its just been utilized so in the past.
I believe patriotism is important. its the life and soul of a nation. If you have an entire nation of people who dont care about their country or about their culture, language, or share any values with their fellow countrymen that nation will not last. Nations like that fall to the ground when their nation is challenged. without patriotism there is nothing holding the country together. look at Iraq, you have two different groups of people of the same country taking turns killing each other instead of trying to build up their country. the sunni muslims in Iraq dont share the same values and patriotism as the krds or shia' muslims. whether you agree with the war or not something has to be done, the days of saddam are over and Iraq will never rebuild until the sunni's, shia's and kurds in that country unite and recognize that they are countrymen and are all Iraqis.
