There are also people who sniffle. I'm about looking to understand what the sniffle is about--what is the cause. I'm not comfortable using a judgement that has a negative connotation, implying a character flaw on the individual. Regarding a sniffle, I will not refer to one who sniffles using words that are about judging or looking down on them--and if I do, that's about my own morals and judgements, independent of facts and understanding the facts/causes.

Anyways, I'm not sure where all this "illusion that their country is better than someone else's" came from. Love of one's country and it's economic and political system and taking pride in it doesn't necessarily mean we think we're better than anyone. My interpretation is that confidence and pride threatens some...when it really shouldn't.

I personally think it's important that people have firm foundations and that they embrace where they are and where they've come from. I agree, it doesn't necessarily mean one thinks they are better than another. I merely refer to when one specifically acts like or says they are better than others. I'm with Collin. I'm generally going to challenge that. I feel that blind, imbalanced patriotism is very easily milked by the leaders of countries, and can be very, very dangerous.
