Sighting Israel's policy failures is not Anti-Semetic. Equating Zionism to terrorism or calling it a racist ideology is. Nuke Israel? Asshole, go visit Tel-Aviv and then Tehran...you tell me where you feel more comfortable.
It is also rather Anti-Semetic to equate Israel's reponse to terror to the underlying Palestenian acts of terrorism. Randomly blowing up city buses, cafes & night clubs. Furthermore, at least Israel understands their enemy and does not invade a nation erroneously, on false pretenses, all the while manipulating the population with made up intelligence.
Wake up, read an Israeli text book and then a Palestinian one. A Palestinian Geography text book would be interesting read for y'all. Anyone of a dozen Arab Nations could have absorbed the Palestinian refugees permitting them to move on with their lives 50 years ago with a drop in the bucket of oil money.
The Palestinian problem could be resolved in 30 seconds with a Palestinian government that gives a shit about their people instead of placating the other Arab leaders' hatred for Israel.
israel dont invade other peoples countries? what cave have you been living in for the past 40 years?
israel is a terrorist state set up in another peoples country, armed with warheads from america...

THAT RIGHT THERE IS ANTI-SEMITIC. Jew.s.a.?!!! So the Jews control America. I'm sorry but that is straight up old fashioned "the Jews are secretly running (and fucking up) the world" anti-semitism. I'm with you all the way that alot of things are called anti-semitic that aren't, but that right there is just straight up pure breed no question about it anti-semitic.
And what the hell is this thread even here for? The Gallaway vid is a year old. All that stuff was pretty well gone over when it was actually current. The only possible reason for starting this thread, and your title speaks to this, is to bate people that disagree with you, which is, quite frankly, kind of pathetic. Don't you have anything better to do? Or perhaps something constructive to say?

I'm not sure what you mean by policy changing? If you mean that people can start threads about whatever they want, then yeah, obviously that's the rule. All I'm saying is that it's pathetic to spend your time starting meaningless, petty, fights just cause you can't abide the fact that other people don't think as you do and you have an urge to mouth off at them.

Ok, but then why not discuss the current situation rather than linking to videos that are no longer current? And why title the thread "supporters of Israeli terror..."? If people want to discuss politics then that's great. But if the purpose of threads like this one is simply to bait people and start fights, which I very much suspect is its purpose, then I fail to see the value in that.

I think it's best then if you feel baited to not fall for it. If you feel something's not worth the time...don't spend time on it.
I happen to think the issue is very important and the video was used because Galloway made really good points about policies that haven't changed.

Ok, can we at least agree that starting a thread and calling it "supporters of Israeli terror listen up!" is not a good way to start a constructive dialogue?

Hey, it's up to you...do you consider yourself a supporter of terror? If not, then why worry about it? If you do, however, feel guilty of the support you put out there...then I can undstand the need to feel defensive.

I don't feel defensive about anything. I proudly support Israel while recognizing that it is imperfect just like every other country out there. I think it deserves some of the criticism it gets, but that alot of the criticism of Israel floating around is either wildly off base, or grows out of questionable motivations, or both. I think it is unfair to talk about Israeli terror, but more to the point it is inflammatory to do so. Which is all I'm saying. If you can't accept that then I guess I have my answer. People on this site simply aren't interested in a discussion. Everyone is just here to fulfill a need for mental masturbation.

In anycase, spend your time defending your position....Galloway says many things that are completely manipulative. "Can we please have a memory longer than 4 weeks..." than proceeds to talk as if the earth and the wind was created 24 years ago when his daughter was born and israel was occupying lebanon. effective, especially when you lack substance and are dying to substanciate your racism. In anycase you are right Dayan, this is a dead debate. Most people see that that war had little to do with Israel and Lebanon and that this was a proxy war between IRAN & the U.S. Why not jump all over the U.S. u ask? People jump all over Israel because they hate Jews. Get use to it. MLK said it 40 yrs ago and it's still true.

citing people for mental masturbation is just another form of the same....It's like complaining in the Paris Hilton threads about Paris Hilton...an exercise in futility.
Progress is not made by everyone joining some new fad,
and reveling in it's loyalty. It's made by forming coalitions

ok, i won't lie. I haven't read past the first page of this topic. still, i have this to say:
for the video: it's hilarious and man, it's about time i watch a great video on someone showing how horrible the media is. the best thing about it is the reporter who is SUPPOSED to be unbiased is sitting there defending israel and showing just how biased she is.
now, i'm real sick of everyone talking about how israel is "just as" guilty as the rest of the arab states and palestinians but that is completely wrong.
israel is much more guilty in this conflict than the palestinians are. what they have done does not even come close to the little things the palestinians have done, or rather, SOME of the palestinians.
for one: keep in mind that the death toll for palestinians since 2000 is somewhat over 6000? 7000? maybe higher? while the death toll for israelis is maybe a little over 1000.
keep in mind how many palestinians are in jail. you've all seen the articles from bbcnews so i don't need to remind you.
just because you all see suicide bombings on the news doesn't mean it happens everyday. rather, the palestinians fight the israelis a LOT less than the israelis fight them as you can tell by the death tolls.
so please no one come up with their bullshit about palestinians ALSO being wrong. not all of them are out blowing themselves up. hardly any of them do that because there are a lot more of them than you think. and the ones that arent blowing themselves up are too busy being killed by the israelis and having their houses bulldozed.
oh, and im not trying to justify anything. the palestinians arent completely right, but what they do is nothing compared to the horrible things the israelis do.
bottomline, palestinians are more justified than israelis.
Ok, but then why not discuss the current situation rather than linking to videos that are no longer current? And why title the thread "supporters of Israeli terror..."? Why don't you try referring to the actual video that I posted if you have a problem with it? Is there something about what George Galloway said that you disagree with? If so, what is it? You haven't once referred to the actual video, but instead have just accused people of being anti-semitic e.t.c.
Ok, can we at least agree that starting a thread and calling it "supporters of Israeli terror listen up!" is not a good way to start a constructive dialogue?
No, we can't. Israel has been engaged in state terrorism for the past 40 years. That's a fact, despite the efforts of the U.S Government to singularly, and unilaterally brush Israels crimes under the carpet by vetoing every single U.N resolution that condemns the illegal occupation and calls for a two-state solution. Firing missiles into crowded residential streets is an act of terrorism.
Bulldozing peoples homes is an act of terrorism.
Shooting 6 year old children in the head for throwing stones is an act of terrorism.
Continuing an illegal, and brutal military occupation is an act of terrorism.
e.t.c, e.t.c.
I proudly support Israel while recognizing that it is imperfect just like every other country out there. I think it deserves some of the criticism it gets, but that a lot of the criticism of Israel floating around is either wildly off base, or grows out of questionable motivations, or both. Fine. So which part of all the criticism of Israel do you have a problem with? Can you be more specific? Your post on it's own says nothing.
What part of the criticism of Israel do you believe is 'wildly off base, or grows out of questionable motivations, or both'?
its so sad that so many of you hate the Jewish people, especially after what your ancestors did to ours.......you can burn with them in hell, white devils.

You've gotten it all wrong. He began the interview by stating how he had been opposing the occupation for as long as his daughter has been alive. Not that he began opposing the illegal occupation on the day of his daughters birth, but that he had been opposing the occupation for as long as she has been alive, and longer. It is only later in the interview that he attacks the obviously biased interviewer for trying to pretend that the roots of the Israel-Lebanon crises began just 4 weeks previously. You must have been watching the video backwards. No wonder you heard things that weren't actually said and so believe that George Galloway is racist.
And as for the rest of your post and your stating that people criticize 'Israel because they hate Jews', this just confirms the fact that you have nothing constructive to say on the subject.
Well, that would require your opinion...one that I don't share. But I guess me expressing my opinion is 'mental masturbation'...while yours somehow isn't. People are trying to discuss this...you just don't like what they have to say.
It isn't that I don't like what they have to say. It's that I don't like the manner in which they choose to say it, which is so flagrantly offensive and hostile that it effectively pre-empts any possible true discussion and understanding. A conversation is by definition two sided. It involves give and take such as what the two of us have been doing. Name-calling is no discussion.
ok, i won't lie. I haven't read past the first page of this topic. still, i have this to say:

I'm not sure I want to get into an argument over the opinions you assert as fact. Suffice it to say that I don't think that you can decide on the justice of a situation solely based on numbers since they entirely ignore intent. I would also say that (and here I don't know who you are so forgive me if I'm wrong) I assume that you have never been to Israel and the Palestinian territories, but having lived there extensively myself the situation is much more complicated then you allow for. Finally I don't think it really matters who is more justified (although I have my own opinion). What matters is that people are able to find some day to day security. Once we get there we can start talking about peace.
