Sorry, but I think the RRHOF is a bunch of bullshit. Look at some of the bands that get inducted-they suck. RUSH hasnt been inducted yet, and in my opinion they are great.

"I'd rather be with an animal." "Those that can be trusted can change their mind." "The in between is mine." "If I don't lose control, explore and not explode, a preternatural other plane with the power to maintain." "Yeh this is living." "Life is what you make it."
So Rush hasn't even been nominated??????? Not even considered???????
After seeing this list I'm now convinced that this RNR Hall Of Fame is a complete joke!

pearl jam has 10 times the name recognition of lou reed and tom waits. they'll get in. they're the only band on the level of a bruce springsteen or other shoe-ins that's still kicking. the only possible bar is if people are going anti-grunge after (probably) nirvana, aic, and soundgarden going in the years before.
to those suggesting pete or bruce as inductors, not a chance in hell. the presenter is supposed to be someone the band has influenced. jim james, julian casablancas, the guy from kings of leon, or ben harper are all decent possibilities.
My rhymes and records they don't get played
Because my records and rhymes they don't get made
And if you rap like me you don't get paid
And if you roll like me you don't get laid.
i don't know if there's been a thread about it..
anyway..i was watching ed's speeches through the years into the hall of fame....
rem..neil young..and THE DOORS.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!..have been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame by Pearl Jam's Eddie Vedder..
i think that in 2-3 years from now pj will be a member of the great club..
so who do you think should be the man..?
i can't think of anyone..maybe.MAYBE.Julian Casablancas(strokes)..
what do u think?
Did your forget The Ramones?
I also think Ben Harper is a good choice, or Jack Johnson?
Dave Abbruzzese? Haha
It's okay, It's okay
You don't have to run and hide away
It's okay, it's okay
I love you anyway
2007: Pearl Jam concert in Düsseldorf (21. June)
2007: Chris Cornell concert in Kristiansand (2. July)
2007: The Who concert in Kristiansand (4. July)
Any one of the following should induct PJ into the rock hall:
Chris Cornell
Ann and Nancy Wilson
DCFC
Ben Harper
Jack Johnson
for the obvious reasons/connections.

The Rock and Roll hall of fame is the biggest joke, there are so many bands and people that aren't in it and so many bands and people that are in it that calling their music Rock and Roll is a HUGE stretch to begin with. It's a complete joke, here are the 2008 inductees, Leonard Cohen and Madonna????
Leonard Cohen
The Dave Clark Five
Gamble & Huff
Little Walter
Madonna
John Mellencamp
The Ventures

I think it's obvious that the RRHOF only inducts 1-3 mainstream (big, prime, choose your own word) acts a year to space out the talent and give some of those larger acts a more headline status during their induction year. I looked at that list and there is no way some of them should be passed over this long.
I think it would be cool if Mike Watt inducted them. I think it would be cool if Mike Watt inducted any band( seeing how the Hall of Fame will probably never induct the minutemen)
Comments
but seriously i love the jim james or liam finn ideas
