But I think every great band influences some absolute hacks in the short term. Bands that want to cash in on the new trend or gnre of music. Bands like Creed, Puddle of Mudd, Nickelback, 3 Doors Down and many others fall into this category. Same thing happened to Zeppelin, Hendrix even the Beatles and the Stones.
I think Pearl Jam's influence on rock is really only beginning...

Didn't Eddie play with his band in LA? By then he'd be in his mid 20's and PJ would be his Neil Young.
Just don't let his dad onstage with Pearl Jam anymore...it's a debacle to say the least.
