From that list, absolutely. My point is though there are a lot of worthy artists who have to wait a few years.

Then again the band may snub the whole thing. I was reading more about Sabbath's delayed induction and, seven years before they went in, Ozzy Osbourne tried to get their name removed from all future ballots. He said it was meaningless because journalists and execs voted and not the fans.

Pearl Jam might feel the same way, especially given their past attitude towards Grammys and whatnot

I think they'll accept it. They supported it when the Ramones and Neil Young were inducted.

I like the Jim James answers. Next I'd choose Sean Penn... as far as Julian from the Strokes... Fuck no. I'll throw a new one out there and say Josh Homme

I thought the rules stated that the band must be together for a min of 25 years? Am I wrong about this??

Anyways- I think it'd be cool if someone like Tom Morello gave the speech....

Crap am I looking forward to this happening! :D

Groups or individuals are qualified for induction 25 years after the release of their first record. They do not need to remain together for 25 years. Most bands do not last that long anyway.

I think its just musicians. Usually someone whom the inductee has influenced

Liam would be perfect....Ed was influenced by Liams Dad and Uncle and now Liam's a new generation, whom I'm sure would have PJ on his list of influences.....as I said - perfect :)

    Kanye West should induct.

I think the best lineup for the inductee that night would be:

    Pearl Jam
    Wayne Kramer
    Cypress Hill
    2Pac
    NERDS!
