MSNBC said there is no clear indication which way his voters will go. That will change I am sure.
I think the big news tonight is the huge increase in the voters.10.31.93 / 10.1.94 / 6.24.95 / 11.4.95 / 10.19-20.96 / 7.16.98 / 7.21.98 / 10.31.00 /8.4.01 Nader Rally/ 10.21.01 / 12.8-9.02 / 6.01.03 / 9.1.05 / 7.15-16,18.06 / 7.20.06 / 7.22-23.06 / Lolla 070 -
edwards voters will flock to obama in a wave... it will be the overwhelming difference... if edwards bails
i have seen nearly every major speech obama has given since 2004 and this guy is something special... electric and inspiring... we need that type of leadership in the white house...
i have been holding back just watching... i didnt want to jump the gun... but i will cast quite possibley the proudest vote of my life on 2/5/08, and again in November
we are ready for the 21st century and the massive progress that can be achieved...
so dont let us down like clinton did0 -

that is always great news...
i have a feeling it is the under 30's going for obama and a platform of change that are helping the voter surge...
the older crowd have been the ones saying that america isnt ready for a black or woman president... they are completley underestimating the "hip hop" generation in my opinion... this is the 21st century for gods sake...
speaking as a child of the 90's...0 -
he who will his running mate be? I highly doubt it will be edwards.0
-
hopefully Kucinich0

I almost totally agree. I just think Edwards should wait to drop out till after Super Tuesday. There is a lot more positive things he can add to the campaign for all the contenders as a candidate vs. a forgotten drop out in the main stream press.I hate quotations. Tell me what you know.

It will be Wesley Clark. There was quite a lot of talk in Democratic circles that not picking Wesley Clark in 2004 was what brought down Senator Kerry bid.I hate quotations. Tell me what you know.

Ahh, I forgot about Clark, and I like the combo.0 -

Write it down.
Gauranteed.
my2hands has made his official prediction
this is one exciting time in America... at least on the Democrat's side... a black man... a woman... a latino... a Senator from Delaware... outspoken peace candidates that are ahead of their time...
Of course the Republicans are coming to the party with the same old white men they usually come with... perhaps they dont realize that the majority of the country is either a woman or a minority... oh well, too bad for them and their 18th century agenda...
waddya folks think? either side?... and dont just say who you support... because the guy i am voting for has no chance it appears (Dennis Kucinich)
Edwards already said he would never take the VP job, but I expect he will be involved in Obama's Presidency in some way."Music, for me, was fucking heroin." eV (nothing Ed has said is more true for me personally than this quote)

A third place finish in South Carolina will be an albatross around his neck, plus the loser tag from 2004 makes him damaged goods. I would be far more willing to vote for Obama/Clark than just about anybody else the Demos could trawl up. All Clinton and Edwards have to offer is the same shit/different day.
Exactly. Edwards will not be the #2 guy for either Hillary or Barak. He is a complete fraud, and the players in his party know it. He'll stay in for awhile to try to play power broker, but in the long run, he offers nothing but bullshit.
Here is a good piece on him from RealClearPolitics last Friday:
John Edwards: Losing UglyEdwards has made much of his renunciation of his Iraq War vote. But he has not stopped there. His entire campaign has been an orgy of regret and renunciation.
-- As senator, he voted in 2001 for a bankruptcy bill that he now denounces.
-- As senator, he voted for storing nuclear waste in Nevada's Yucca Mountain. Twice. He is now fiercely opposed.
-- As senator, he voted for the Bush-Kennedy No Child Left Behind education reform. He now campaigns against it, promising to have it "radically overhauled."
-- As senator, he voted for the Patriot Act, calling it "a good bill ... and I am pleased to support it." He now attacks it.
-- As senator, he voted to give China normalized trade relations. Need I say? He now campaigns against liberalized trade with China as a sellout of the middle class to the great multinational agents of greed, etc.
Breathtaking. People can change their minds about something. But everything? The man served one term in the Senate. He left not a single substantial piece of legislation to his name, only an astonishing string of votes on trade, education, civil liberties, energy, bankruptcy and, of course, war that now he not only renounces but inveighs against."I'll use the magic word - let's just shut the fuck up, please." Why would Obama want a southerner on the ticket with him, he doesn't need the boost in those states. No need to be void, or save up on life

Drifting, as much as I'd like to think that Paul had a chance on the Republican side there isn't any. His supporters are really passionate which is why you see the signs, but amongst the base of the Republican side of things he's a no name. Sadly, people vote on names and not issues.
Ain't that the truth! Wish I had been posting here back a few months ago...people seemed quite different. If you want to tell people the truth, make them laugh, otherwise they'll kill you.
