What would club meetings entail? Civil War reenactments? Country line dancing? Everybody Loves Raymond marathons? Field trips to gun shows? Boooooring.
"Of course it hurts. You're getting fucked by an elephant."
As distasteful as this club is it shouldn't be anyone's concern (except the club's) about the type person who would join. Unless schools are also going to start asking questions about the type person that would join the chess club, or black student union. Equal rights will only come when we treat people equal. White people should be given the option and school resources to start a distatsteful or stupid club as any other group of people.
i have to disagree. School resources should not be afforded to students, white or otherwise, to engage in activities predicated upon hatred. This is what makes it different from the chess club (or Black Student Union for that matter).
The only thing the Chess Club kids may potentially be accused of is being, perhaps, unpopular. The same can not be said of a group populated primarily by the fucking trench coat mafia.

Claire Standish: You know why guys like you knock everything?
John Bender: Oh, this should be stunning.
Claire Standish: It's because you're afraid.
John Bender: Oh God, you richies are so smart, that's exactly why I'm not heavy into activities.
Claire Standish: You're a big coward.
Brian Johnson: I'm in the math club.
Claire Standish: See, you're afraid that they won't take you, you don't belong, so you have to just dump all over it.
John Bender: Well, it wouldn't have anything to do with you activities people being assholes, now would it?
Claire Standish: Well, you wouldn't know, you don't even know any of us.
John Bender: Well, I don't know any lepers, but I'm not going to run out and join one of their fucking clubs.
Andrew Clark: Hey. Let's watch the mouth, huh?
Brian Johnson: I'm in the physics club too.
John Bender: Excuse me a sec. What are you babbling about?
Brian Johnson: Well, what I had said was I'm in the math club, uh, the latin, and the physics club... physics club.
John Bender: Hey, Cherry. Do you belong to the physics club?
Claire Standish: That's an academic club.
John Bender: So?
Claire Standish: So academic clubs aren't the same as other kinds of clubs.
John Bender: Ah... but to dorks like him, they are. What do you guys do in your club?
Brian Johnson: Well, in physics we... we talk about physics, properties of physics.
John Bender: So it's sorta social, demented and sad, but social. Right?
What would club meetings entail? Civil War reenactments? Country line dancing? Everybody Loves Raymond marathons? Field trips to gun shows? Boooooring.
O cause other ethnicites are so exciting....do thy re-enact getting bitch slapped by white people?

milhouse, it's the heritage which leads me to think that italians could celebrate columbus (even though people aren't really certain he was from genoa, italy and may have been portuguese and totally ignore the afro-phoenicians' role in 'america'). i'm also guessing some reenactments of the reformation and the renaissance. oh yeah, renaissance fairs! in other words, your typical history course. oh, the scientific revolution too! perhaps they could try to change lead to gold before they revolt.

Wow! The past few days really seem to have pushed you over the edge. Liberals hate white people now?

keep showing and spreading your own ignorance, i'll start win one small easy to find thing they should be proud of, the had to fight just to be able to sit in a front seat of a bus and they succeed, and it's something white peoples should be ashamed of from their past. See, now go, i'm sure you can find more.

Providing the girls reasons for wanting to start the club are genuine and not meant to cause antagonism then I don't feel it's fair for her to have recieved the intense opposition that she has. Over here our community is not as diverse as America's, though given our history in comparison to that of the US, it's not suprising, so I'm not sure exactly what happens within these clubs, anyone help me out?

I went to chemical engineering school. There were LOTS of clubs geared towards engineering. The profesional club, or organization is called American Institute of Chemical Engineers, AIChE. Now, I went to those club meetings, but the members were predomintly white males, even if the club was open to all.
There is also, SWE, Society for Women Engineers. Also, open to all genders, but made up almost 100% of females. Why didn't males join this club?
There was NSBE, National Society of Black Engineers. It was open to all people as well, you didn't even have to be an engineer. But again, it was mostly made up of black male and female engineer students.
There was SHPE, Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers. You guessed it, made up of mostly hispanic engineer students, even as it was open to anyone who wanted to join.
Now, I belonged to SWE and SHPE. Why didn't I join NSBE and AIChE? Because I didn't feel like I fit in and I didn't feel like my needs were being addressed. Such as, how to succeed as a female engineer in a male-dominated career. I can see how black engineers also wanted to have their own club to address issues such as why there are so few black students in the sciences and engineering (same thing for SWE members).
Why didn't AIChE address these issues? Because their most of their members don't face those specific challenges.

yeah, makes the idea of the club somewhat... redundant.
(i'll totally join if they have a renaissance fair, though. i'm a sucker for a good lute solo.)
"Of course it hurts. You're getting fucked by an elephant."
Instead of having clubs for every ethnic race, why not one club that includes all races? Perhaps if everyone understood and appreciated each others background there might be less racism and hatred.
some schools have such clubs........UCLA had a jewish/arab alliance....and a jewish/african american alliance
Im big on food and how it represents culture, what kind of foods are they going to eat at this 'Caucasian Club'?
Open faced turkey sandwiches (white meat only) on white bread with mashed potatoes on the side. With some turkey gravy for color.

I didnt intend to ridicule black people and their culture. My point is that white culture is just as important if not more important than other cultures, and we should have the right to celebrate our accomplishments.

I cannot believe some of the stuff you write. No culture is more imporant than any other, if we could just be equal across the board...I think people wouldnt kill eachother as much.
